Die schmutzigen Fenster und dass Leute vor dem Fenster vorbeigegangen sind.

Wir hatten eine Wasserundichtigkeit im Bad, der aber schnell nachgegangen wurde. iIm Sommer 2025 gab es eine Baustelle, auf die man vom Balkon aus schaute. Uns hat dies nicht gestört.

Wer keinen Trubel mag, ist in diesem Ortsteil falsch. Die komplett digitale Abwicklung - selbst die Schließanlage funktioniert per App - muss man mögen.

"Das Appartement läßt nur Übernachtung mit Selbstverpflegung zu. Da wir nur 2 Übernachtungen gebucht hatten, haben wir die Küche nicht genutzt und auswärts in der näheren Umgebung, fussläufig erreichbar gegessen. Besonders hat uns der Pool, der zur gemeinsamen Nutzung zur Verfügung steht, gefallen. Mietwagen konnte ohne Mehrkosten direkt vorm Appartement abgestellt werden."

Die Schlafzimmer waren etwas klein und es standen nur dünne Bettdecken zur Verfügung (mir hat es gereicht, meiner Lebensgefährtin nicht... Es waren also nur Kleinigkeiten, die uns etwas gestört haben (Nadel im Heuhaufen).

The fact that I had to spend only one day there😀. The appartment was already booked for the next day so I could not extend my stay.

"Großzügiges Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern in der obersten Etage des Hauses gelegen; Balkon bestückt mit einem Tisch und 4 Stühlen und einer Liege, fantastische Aussicht, Meerblick; sauber; Moskitonetze überall; sehr nette Vermieter. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt!"

Die Unterkunft liegt ca 15-20 Autominuten von der Spicemall und damit vom Grand Anse Beach, dem bei weitem schönsten Strand Grenadas entfernt. Ein Auto ist für den Aufenthalt zwingend notwendig! Uns hat das nicht so gestört, da wir niemals ohne Auto verreisen. Es wäre schön, wenn für einen Kurzurlaub eine kleine Menge von Spülmaschinentabs und etwas Waschpulver vorhanden oder zu kaufen wäre.

Es gibt im Hotel keinerlei Verpflegung

"Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, jedoch mit dem Auto oder zu Fuß ist alles erreichbar, der Bahnhof war in der Nähe, die Supermärkten haben wir mit dem Auto zurückgelegt. Die Wohnung hat wirklich alles zu bieten, so als würden wir selber dadrin wohnen. Er hat alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen. In der Küche macht du fast gar nichts mehr falsch und das Badezimmer hat eine Badewanne mit einem abgetrennten Glaswand. Das Wohn - /Ess- und Schlafbereich ist nicht zu klein, größer als jedes "normales" Hotelzimmer."

Der Haustür geht schwer auf, man muss wirklich erst die Haustür ziehen und gleichzeitig mit der Hausschlüssel drehen um die Tür auf - zuzuschliessen.

"Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und durften ein sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Zimmer beziehen. Die Unterkunft liegt im grünen, direkt am Meer. Es gibt Kajaks die umsonst zur Verfügung stehen. In einer super ausgestatteten Gemeinschaftsküche kann gekocht werden. Auch Schnorchel sind vorhanden."

Immer wieder verirren sich große Wespen in die Hütten. Insektennetze könnten auch vor den Spalten im Dach installiert werden um dem entgegenzuwirken.

"The place was clean, at a nice location, walk to the beach. The staff was also amazing especially Salum the caretaker who was quick to respond. The owner is also amazing. They also offered recommendations on what's good close by."

Location was far from the main tourist centers in Nungwi and stone town. Suggest getting a car if you are there - lucky we had one. Otherwise great stay!

Sehr viele wechselnde Gäste. Wenn die Gäste selbst z.B. das WC nicht sauber hinterlassen ist es schwierig für das Personal hinterher zu kommen.

Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street, both just minutes away, with their many choices for food and drinks, are great for both lunch and dinner. Die Fenster waren herrlich groß, gewährten aber der Öffentlichkeit Einblick, wenn man die Rollos nicht runterzog. Leider gab es keine Nachttischlampe. Es war schwierig, im Bett ein Buch zu lesen. Ich habe mir eine Kerze gekauft und in ein Glas gestellt. Personal habe ich nirgends gesehen. Das ist der Nachteil des praktischen Eincheckens per Code.

Tags gut am Strand in 10 min. zum tollen und gemütlichen shipwreck hut zu laufen. Nachts zurück ohne Gehweg an der Straße ist nicht so toll aber mit Licht zu Fuß ok.

"We had a very comfortable and quiet 2 week stay in the Sunset Room. The entire cottage is beautiful and immaculately kept by Demi. We had everything we needed to cook at home but also enjoyed many meals out at local restaurants. Our morning coffee on the balcony before our daily walks on Shoal Bay beach (5 min drive away) were a great way to start each day. Use of the laundry facilities was much appreciated. Hot shower, quality towels, linens and bath products. Demi was very helpful with recommendations. The location was great as we had a car to explore the island. Nothing in Anguilla is far. We loved everything about the island and would highly recommend any of the rooms at The Hidden Cottage."

The guy at reception messed up my check-out. He couldn't find my booking, said I must have done it privately, and even asked me what my room rate was! Then I told him it was on booking.com again and he said fine, you can go, (presumably cos my credit card guaranteed payment?) Then as I was about to go to the airport he called me back and said you still need to pay. But this is a fabulous place. That was just a minor frustration.

From day 1 the ceramic cook top on the stove did not work.They sent a man to look at it, he could not get it to work.Nothing was done to try and fix it for the 7 days we were there.. No sharp knife to cut meat etc.no can opener. No hair conditioner. No phone to call reception, we were on the 9th floor. Had to keep going up and down to see them for anything you needed. No came to clean our room or even change our towels for the 7 days we were there.We had to go down to reception to request clean towels.Then they insisted we brought the used ones to them 1st, before giving us clean ones.But this shocked us the most, they said if we wanted .more clean ones later in the week, we had to PAY for them. The washing machine did not work properly. The TV did not work, had to get someone up to reprogram it. Neither coffee or tea was provided. But they had a coffee machine in the lobby,BUT that did not work either for the 7 days we were there. They said they had a small shop to sell essentials. But it was hardly ever open, we it was it had next to nothing in it. They have a roof top swimming pool, which trying to getvin and out of was really dangerous. The bars you held onto were not fixed properly with screws to hold it in place missing. The top step was missing altogether, when we tried to get in , not realizing the top step was not there I slipped down to the second step missing it going between it and the wall getting stuck, my wife still not in the pool and a man in the pool has to help me out, really scary and dangerous. I told reception about it , they apologized saying they would send a maintenance man to look at it.But like everything else they said they would fix, NOTHING was done for the 7 days we were there, consequently we did not use the pool again. The water in the taps and shower were far far too hot , scalding hot 🔥, very dangerous.
