"Die Kukummi Lodge ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Ryan und Danny leben echte, persönliche Gastfreundschaft. Ryan hat uns in einer echten Notlage geholfen: Unser Fahrzeug war nicht verkehrstüchtig, er kümmerte sich intensiv um die Autovermietung (Reifenproblem), organisierte Lösungen und holte uns sogar zu Wanderungen ab und zurück. Das ist absolut außergewöhnlich und gab uns ein enormes Gefühl von Sicherheit. Wunderschöne Lodge, großartige Atmosphäre, tolles Essen und ein herzliches Team. Schon am ersten Abend wurden wir familiär aufgenommen und verbrachten einen unvergesslichen Abend. Eine Lodge, die sich nicht durch Luxus, sondern durch Menschlichkeit abhebt. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung – wir kommen definitiv wieder!"

I got a room in rhe endcof the corridor very few guests so the hot water didn't come before I stopped showering. But no big deal.

"Great breakfast and I like that it was a la carte. I can't say enough about it nor about the staff. Everyone was very courteous, professional, helpful, and accommodating. I also loved the location, only a few minutes from Palais Sans-Souci and Citadelle."

The air conditioning was rationed a bit much

"Accommodations are simple but very comfortable. Nice swimming pool right out the hotel room door. Short walk to the water. We really enjoyed diving. My 18yr old son got PADI certified. They did an awesome job with him. Nassar was his instructor. He was awesome! Area was very safe."

No complaints. Please understand that tourism is severely impacted by the Gazan war. Many hotels and restaurants are closed and those that are open often are operating in a limited capacity. For example hotel restaurants might not operate at all. This affects all hotels. There were almost no tourists as of November 2025.

"This was my second time staying here, and I really appreciate how clean and well-maintained the place is. It’s comfortable, decent, and offers great value for money. The staff were polite and helpful, making the stay even better."

There’s no full kitchen available — just a small area with a microwave and an icebox. But considering the cost, it’s still a good deal.

Sauberkeit verbesserungswürdig, wir haben uns aber wohl gefühlt.

"It felt like a little haven to come home to, somewhere quiet away from the city! The owners (Raquel and her father Jorge) are truly lovely and the staff are always happy to help with anything. I felt very safe staying here especially with the gated entrances. The garden was beautifully kept, consisting of tropical plants and flowers. The food was fresh and the staff made lunch and dinner if requested too. AC worked well, shower was hot, bed was comfy! I unfortunately got struck down with food poisoning on my last day, so we needed to check out later than expected so I could rest - they didn’t bat an eyelid when we asked and even provided me with some fresh watermelon/bread upon request. I sadly left a pair of my special earrings in my room too, and when Whatsapping Raquel, she confirmed her staff had found them and very honestly kept them safe so I could arrange shipping to the UK!"

Nothing we didn’t like, bear in mind it’s a B&B so make sure you get water bottles for the room etc which you can buy there for $1, there isn’t a safe in the room either if you’re considering bringing valuables (not that I didn’t feel safe with my belongings there).

"Very strongly recommend: Airbnb is part of a beautiful villa in safe residential neighbourhood. Private parking on the ground of the villa. The studio with the two double beds is huge and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is also very spacious. The hostess and host are extremely kind and very respectful of privacy, etc. Optional breakfast is offered - excellent coffee, fresh croissants or pain au chocolate, etc. You can hear the ocean which is some 200 m further."

We liked absolutely everything. We could list many more things we liked like the swimming pool which is long enough to swim into and warm.

"Super freundliches Personal. Wir konnten das Zimmer bis zu unserer Abfahrt nach Cuyabeno (nachts) nutzen, und unser Gepäck für mehrere Tage im Hotel 'lagern'. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und alles war sauber."

Die direkte Hotelumgebung scheint nicht die Allerbeste zu sein.

"Copan de Ruinas ist ein friedliches Örtchen, dennoch herrscht ordentlich Verkehr und es kann stickig heiss sein. Darum ist die Hanglage vom La Escalinata mit Blick auf den Wald perfekt. Es herrscht absolute Ruhe und es weht ein angenehmes Lüftchen. So lässt es sich auch gut ohne Klimaanlage (ob wohl vorhanden und funktionell) ruhig schlafen. Mir ist Tageslicht im Zimmer wichtig und hier hatte ich sogar einen Balkon. Dusche mit Warmwasser tip top und praktische Kleideraufhängung mit genügend Bügel."

Ein Vorhang wäre wünschenswert. Und den Türspalt besser abzudichten damit, wenn man die Klimaanlage ausschaltet, die Kälte nicht gleich wieder fort ist.

"Wir wurden sehr herzlich vor Ort empfangen, da das Hotel etwas versteckt im Stoff-Souk liegt wurden wir vom Treffpunkt von Alveen abgeholt. Das Hotel ist wunderschön, unser Zimmer war ein Traum mit Aussicht auf den Dubai Creek. Das Frühstück im Mazmi Cafè war auch wunderbar, jeden Morgen haben wir uns über frischen Saft, Kaffee bzw. Tee und die leckeren a la Carte Gerichte gefreut. Mein Mann und ich lieben es ruhig, außergewöhnlich und authentisch und das Mazmi hat diese Erwartungen vollumfänglich erfüllt. Es war unsere erste Reise nach Dubai und bestimmt nicht die letzte!"

Da die Eingangstür zum Hotel direkt im Stoff-Souk liegt, waren die dortigen Händler bei unserer Ankunft etwas nervig beim Anpreisen ihrer Ware, an zweiten Tag kannte man uns allerdings schon und hat uns einfach freundlich gegrüßt :)

Der Straßenlärm im Restaurantbereich

"Wenn ich aus dem Fenster meines Zimmers schaute, hat mich die Natur begrüßt, ich fühle mich fast wie im Regenwald. Man muss es einfach gesehen haben."

Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden.

"Wir waren das 2.mal da. Alles war wieder bestens. Personal sehr freundlich, Zimmer sehr schön und super sauber und das Frühstück hat alles geboten. Wir kommen wieder."

"Good location near the main street with bus stop and supermarkets and restaurants. Room is clean and bathroom is newly renovated. Although the room is next to a main street there was no traffic noise. Great with parking included and breakfast included. Good with some cookies and dried wasa bread and coffee is available all day."

The wardrobe in the room was broken, the door cannot be opened. A towel for the floor in the bathroom was missing. The breakfast is a simple business breakfast and not a holiday breakfast buffet. Stairs to come to your room. So if you have luggage it is a bit trouble.

"Everything was ok, the accommodation is very near to the airport, only about 15 minutes walk, so it´s great if you have long hours to wait for your next flight. Also, you can find many restaurants and cafeterias around and the neighborhood looked good and safe."

It´s possible to pay only in cash.

"I had a really lovely stay at Tribute Guest House in Lesotho. From the moment I arrived, the service stood out. The lady at reception was incredibly kind and helpful. On my way to the guest house, my car got stuck in the mud, and she went out of her way to call a driver to check on me and assist. She really didn’t have to do that, but she did, and I truly appreciated it. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for my stay. It was a bit cold at times, but that can be forgiven given the area and weather. The location was good and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. The amenities were great, the food was fresh and very enjoyable, and the WiFi worked well the whole time with no connection issues. What I liked most was the genuine care and kindness from the staff, along with how comfortable the stay was overall. There wasn’t much I didn’t like, except for the slight cold in the room. I would definitely book again, especially with my family next time."

"Essa foi a melhor estadia q ja fiquei em São Paulo, a marli é um amor, seu esposo tbm é super receptivo, o quarto é bem confortável e muito limpo, o banheiro tbm é muito limpo, a casa é aconchegante e familiar, sem falar na localização q é ótima, próximo ao mercado e ao metrô. Fiquei a vontade e me sentindo em casa mesmo,a marli tbm prepara um café da manhã com muito carinho ,eu e meu esposo com certeza voltaremos em outras oportunidades."

"Location is ok, 10 minutes walk to Somerset MRT station. Cleanness was ok, not spotted but acceptable. Air conditioning worked well. As the cheapest private room with private bathroom in the whole city this place is worth its price. Good contact with owner via whatsapp. I would come back."

The owner does not treat this place like a hotel, so for example, toilet paper is replaced by the guests themselves.

"Das Zimmer war eine Hütte mit Außendusche, aber war alles sauber und bei den Temperaturen kein Problem. Die Lage war zwar zentral aber man läuft schon ein Stück zu Fuss in die Innenstadt. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat eine Inseltour für mich organisiert. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und die Menge unglaublich viel."

Wenn man nicht bei Tageslicht zurück ist, läuft man im Dunkeln durch eine zwar sichere Nachbarschaft, aber wird vor jedem Haus von Hunden angebellt oder attackiert, sofern das Tor offen ist. In einer Nacht war es sehr kühl und eine zweite Decke wäre hilfreich gewesen.

"Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geräumig. Die Betten sind angenehm zum Schlafen. Der Eingang zu den Pyramiden ist nur 1 minute entfernt. Das Museum GEM Grand Egyptian Museum ist mit dem Auto/Taxi 10 min entfernt. Wir haben 1 Tag die Pyramiden besucht und 1 Tag das Museum GEM. Die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Pyramiden ist sehr schön. Die Stühle und Tische sehen auch gut aus. Dort hatten wir auch unser Frühstück bekommen. Omelette und leckerer Saft, Brot, Frischkäse und Marmelade. Sehr lecker. Dazu Kaffee. Da oben den Sonnenaufgang zu erleben war super. Wir kommen wieder. Die Gastgeber sind 3 Brüder die ihr Elternhaus in ein Hotel verwandelt haben. Richtig chic."
