Silver Cloud Hotel

"Inhabergeführtes, solides und sauberes Hotel mit netten Gastgebern zwischen der Stadt Paro und dem Tigernest gelegen. Mitarbeiter des Hotels geben sich viel Mühe, ihre Gäste in dem relativ neu etablierten Hotel zu verwöhnen. In das Hotel integriert ist ein Restaurant in welchem das Frühstück gereicht wird und auch ein Abendessen möglich ist. Man ist morgens früh schnell am Tigernest, da dieses Hotel an der Straße auf halber Strecke zum Tigernest gelegen ist. In die Stadt Paro benötigt man allerdings einen Transport, wenn man etwa einen Einkaufsbummel am Abend oder eine Einkehr in die vielfältigen Angebote der touristisch geprägten Innenstadt von Paro unternehmen möchte. Der Bettenkomfort und das WLAN sind in diesem Hotel sehr gut und die Zimmer haben eine stattliche Größe."

"Wir waren Ende Dezember in diesem Hotel mit Temperaturen nachts zwischen 1 und 8 Grad Celsius. Die im Zimmer verbaute Elektroheizung benötigte leider viel zu lange und war anfänglich nicht ausreichend, um das Zimmer auf eine einigermaßen erträgliche Temperatur zu bringen und wir froren anfangs bitterlich in dem sehr kalten Zimmer. Dies wäre zu vermeiden gewesen, wenn die Gastgeber die Heizung bereits morgens vor unserer Ankunft am Nachmittag eingeschaltet hätten. In einer Nacht hat mich das laute Gebell der Straßenhunde vor dem Hotel aus dem Schlaf gerissen, aber in der zweiten Nacht passierte dies nicht mehr und alles war bestens. Kleinigkeiten sind in diesem Hotel schon noch verbesserungsfähig, aber trüben letztendlich keinesfalls unsere insgesamt positive Hotelerfahrung an dieser Stelle auf unserer Reise durch Bhutan!"

"The location of the hotel is excellent; between the airport and Tiger's Nest. Room is spacious. WiFi is fast. Breakfast and food generally is very good. The hotel organized transportation to Tiger's Nest, hot stone bath and the airport. The guide for visiting in Tiger's Nest was from the hotel. Excellent, friendly staff."

"Had an absolutely delightful stay at this Hotel. The staff were amazing and did all they could to ensure we were comfortable. Their Cafe (located adjacent to the Hotel) was where I spent most evenings after a day out at Paro. They made their coffee perfectly and had an assortment of treats from pancakes to waffles as accompaniments. Much recommended for anyone visiting Paro."

"Nothing that I didn't...but this location is closer to the route to Tigers Nest and not in Paro town centre. But we loved it especially because it was away from the bustle...and there is a general store located on the property in case you need supplies. However, do remember that Credit Cards are not accepted easily in Bhutan. This is true for all locations..not just here..so do keep Cash (or a charge card) handy."

"Nestled in a peaceful space, 15 mins drive from the tiger’s nest monastery and 15 mins drive from city centre. New hotel With modern amenities, staff are extremely polite and welcoming and helped us out in every possible way. Our kid got sick after returning from the monastery due to altitude sickness and they came out to assist us in every possible way."

"The Host, Mr. Karma was exceptionally supportive. He is a good host in true terms. not only did he educate us about Bhutan and the nuances around it but also he helped us get around the town. He was extremely responsive to solve any query and treated us like family. He motivated us to go for the trek and guess what we completed it too. I would recommend staying at his property and also interacting with him. :)"
