Nette Hosts, die gerne alle wichtigen Informationen teilen. Sie kochen ein sehr gutes 3-Gänge-Menü zum Beispiel mit frischem Wildlachs, und verschiedene exzellente Frühstücksvarianten."

"We love Alert bay in September, and Alert bay lodge was wonderful ! Beautiful huge room, with an equally huge covered deck looking towards the water. Lovely breakfasts cooked by Ian and a roaring fire to sit beside, perfect!"

"The Alert Bay Lodge was charming, comfortable and hospitable. Very unique setting, with a warm welcome from the hosts. Good location, easy walk into "town". The community is great, lots to see and do. Fascinating history. Marvelous must-see: the U'mista Cultural Centre. Whales, dolphins and otters passing by the front of the Lodge every day!"

"We loved our stay at the Alert Bay Lodge. It is very quaint and we loved that it was so different from the usual generic accommodation. Natasha and Ian, the hosts, are so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great and we had dinner one night which was also really good. We just felt so ‘at home’ and were sorry leave."

"Excellent nutritional breakfast! Amazing view! Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy, interesting decor. Being so close to the shoreline and immersed in nature was special. I loved the main gathering room with all the different places to sit, read or play games. Hearing the eagles every day was a bonus. The whole place gave me a sense of relaxation which I haven’t felt for a long time."

"We loved Alert Bay Lodge. It's rather quirky and clearly a labour of love for the owners Nina and Scott. There is an amazing communal space where you will find some really interesting objects and First Nations art. As well as comfy sofas and a lovely fire, tea and coffee is available. It is a wonderful open area to spend the evenings. From here you can access a veranda with incredible views over the water. The location is amazing, we saw orca in the water right outside the lodge! Nina and Scott are very friendly and engaging hosts. There was some healthy competition going on between them with their breakfasts. We had an early excursion on our first morning so Scott made us breakfast rolls to go, which were great. On our second morning we had pancakes made by Scott which were very nice but on our third morning we had pancakes made by Nina which were sublime (sorry Scott) We loved our stay here and would definitely return."
