"Very peaceful (out of season) Had everything we needed except coffee. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms a good temperature."

"Good location, spacious cottage, very clean, lots of TV channels, comfortable sofa and chairs. Comfortable beds. Washer and dryer in the cottage, which was a bonus."

"I have some mobility issues so climbing stairs to get into the cottage was difficult. Having a bread knife and a chef knife in the kitchen would have been great as we did cooking while we were there. Also the hinge on the refrigerator door needs to be changed to the other side. It was awkward trying to use it."

"Staff very helpful. Kids noticed a ton of dvds in office. We sent a message to staff and they dropped off a dvd player to us very quickly."

"No breakfast, but excellent location. Close to Cavendish, but far enough from the main road so that you felt like you were in a cottage in the countryside. Nice warm clean pool. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to spend the night or a week or two"

"Love the detached cottages, playground for the kids and the pool! The location cannot be beat, it's so calming and beautiful. I cannot say enough about the pool! We also loved the amount of wildlife that ran through! Foxes, rabbits, many different birds!"

"Wifi connection was poor for both cottages we had. one cottage's television did not work (only the kids were upset lol). unfortunately the fire pit at our end was roped off on our second night through to our last night, so we were unable to have a bonfire but again, only the kids were upset. We didn't see that you had to request sheets for the pull outs until we were leaving (our fault)."

"It was the most beautiful, peaceful place we have ever stayed at. It was beyond my expectations. We were welcomed to a two bedroom cottage equipped with everything from a full kitchen with a dining table, dishes toaster coffee maker even a dishwasher but soap and sponge too! Fresh linens hung outside to dry. Heated pool, and the best mid September weather ever for enjoying the huge deck with BBQ that was perfect for that late afternoon local craft brew. Best vacation ever. Thank you Hidden Acres Cottages, the cottage was the best part of the trip. The Bradleys Hfx. N.S."

"It was to perfect made us not want to leave. Also, we now need to save all of our pennies so we can return. We’re going to now need to bring our grandson but he might not like it here!!! It was a 2 minute walk from our cottage to the pool. Not sure a 9 year old can handle a hike past the kids sand pit around the volleyball net, look at the swing set open the gate and jump in the pool all in the same day."

"Very clean, comfortable met all our expectations and requirements. Needed to have some explanation as to how to access TV channels for daily news forecasts etc. Okay to tune into Netflix, but general use of remotes."
