"Das Hotel ist deutlich weniger luxuriös, als es manche Bewertung vermuten lässt. Es ist ein gutes 3-Sterne-Hotel in exzellenter Lage. Uns hat es trotzdem gut gefallen, da alles in sich stimmig war, das Bett sehr bequem und das Zimmer groß genug."

"Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad könnte moderner und zeitgemäßer sein. Das gilt auch für viele andere Bereiche des Hotels. Schade ist auch, dass es nicht wirklich eine vegane Auswahl beim Frühstück gibt. Zum Glück gibt es in der Ecke dutzende Alternativen."

"You need to offer a few rooms that are designated as smoking rooms only. It's cold outside. I was not told that restaurants were closed when I made the reservation. It was a little expensive."

"I was in Edmonton for 5 nights, visiting a relative. The Varscona was an ideal place to stay, brilliant location for me on Whyte Avenue, and a real haven of peace. I had a great view from 5th floor room. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, could make tea and coffee in room. Staff all very friendly."

"The restaurant and bar were closed during my stay, but actually that did get me out to Blowers and Grafton - very nearby."

"Fabulous small hotel in terrific location. A real gem. I love how helpful the staff were: for example, on my request they put a kettle and a microwave in my room. It was possible to open a window. It was possible to completely adjust the temperature in my room to my liking. Within less than one block of the hotel were several restaurants which did take away. There was also a small convenience store and many charming boutiques."
