"Vielen Dank für die Aufmerksamkeit und die gemütliche Unterbringung im Bungalow! Die Abendessen sind einfach, aber hausgemacht und sehr lecker! Außerdem gibt es eine ausgezeichnete Auswahl an lokal produziertem Wein, dessen Weinberge am Vulkan wachsen!"

"Das Frühstück war reichlich, mit Ei, Kaffee, Brötchen oder Toast, Joghurt und selbstgemachter Marmelade und Saft. Die Frauen der Familie kochen ausgezeichnet. Wir haben dreimal zu Abend gegessen. Jedesmal war es anders und immer lecker. Tolle wie die Geschwister Hand in Hand wirtschaften. Danke für die vielen Tipps und die professionelle Begleitung bei der Besteigung des Vulcans. Wobei auch die vielen Infos zur Umgebung und den Pflanzen sehr hilfreich waren. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"Leider ging unsere Fähre nicht zurück nach Santiago. Aber für Wind und Wellen kann ja niemand etwas."

"Blitzsaubere Unterkunft. Die Funcos (kleine Häuschen aus Vulkangestein) sind wunderschön. Der Gastgeber und seine Familie haben sie eigenhändig erbaut. Es hat auch eine Bar/Restaurant ausschliesslich für die Gäste, wo man gut essen und trinken kann. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Die Gegend eignet sich gut zum Wandern (auf den Vulkan mit Führer oder ohne Führer zu den Lavafeldern oder auf den Pico do Inferno). Wir würden gerne wieder kommen!"

"First off: the landscape is just amazing, feels pretty surreal. The round-shaped "funco" is so cool, we loved it! There is also a patio with a hammock which overlooks such stunning views. Everything was very clean. The host, Du, and his family (the staff) are super friendly and helpful :) We had a nice dinner there and I can definitely recommend to taste some of their wines. Also breakfast was good, and we appreciated the fact that they were available to serve it also very early in the morning to accommodate our transportation needs."

"Just bear in mind that to get there from the airport you need to catch a taxi with is quite expensive as it takes almost one hour - or else you can get a "colectivo", but they only run at specific times once a day. When we were there, the colectivo from the airport would only depart at midday, and the other way (from the funco to the airport) was at 7am. I write this just as a recommendation for future guests: might be worth asking around for other people to share the taxi with, in case the colectivo does not meet your timings :)"

"Everything about this accommodation was perfect. The room was clean, and each cabin had its own small, cozy outdoor area. The host was very friendly and accommodating. He organized the airport transfer and the guide for climbing Pico do Fogo. His sister was also lovely and cooked delicious meals for us every day. The stay was the highlight of our Cape Verde vacation!"
