"Downtown location is good. It’s a compact studio with kitchen. Lady next door (who gives the keys) is very friendly but speaks only Spanish."

"My studio was at the street level. Since the window had only slatted cover it was a bit unsafe as a solo female at night. Shower room was really really really small."

"We liked the ease of the location, close to the beach and many restaurants and shops. The terrace was an extra bonus with a nice view for bird watching and ample space to hang laundry or dry clothes and just enjoy. The small kitchen was very nice to have and prepare breakfast and lunch. Very resposnsive and helpful staff."

"A bug net would be helpful but the fans did keep them off while sleeping, however the floor fan is quite noisy as it has only the fast setting."

"I really loved my stay here. The host was extremely kind and flexible, especially when I needed to extend my stay while I was sick. The place is amazing, very close to the beach, the city center, and everything you need. For the price, the quality is outstanding compared to other options in the city, with a private bathroom and shower, and even a water tank, which means you can still shower when there’s no water in town. I had seen some previous comments mentioning smells in the street and issues with the water system, which initially made me a bit hesitant, but all of these problems have clearly been resolved and were not an issue at all during my stay."

"It's near to the beach, I feel secure walk in the night, from house to the disco, have small stuff for kitchen, and this makes good economic to cooking in the apartment, the señora it's so good person, helpful in everything , she it's near for anything you need, really I love this cute apartment...."

"Terrasse sur le toit privée.. Très propre et à 500 m de la Playa Las Terrenas et des bars et des restaurants.. Très bien situé et pas beaucoup de chiens sur la rue.. La plupart des endroits en République Dominicaine sont remplis de chiens et impossible de bien dormir la nuit avec les jappements.. Je recommande la Casa de Mathias parce qu'on dort bien sur cette rue.. Propriétaire très serviable et mon vélo fut en sécurité à la réception pour la nuit.. Seul inconvénient, les escaliers en colimasson, difficile si vous avez des grosses valises.. A+++ Bravo à la Casa de Mathias"
