"The hotel was a very convenient place for us to stay en route from the Quilotoa Loop to the Galápagos Islands. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the metro at El Ejido. We just stayed one night and it had everything we needed. The host was very helpful and kindly organised a taxi to the airport for the morning and she was up at 5.30am to check the taxi took us which was lovely! We were there on a Sunday night which meant there wasn’t much open for a meal in the evening and we didn’t want to walk too far afield in the dark. We found a perfect take away bakery and sandwich place which suited us."

A huge bed (big enough to starfish in), a fully equipped kitchen (no more instant noodles!), and a chill atmosphere, all for just $10 a night per person. "The only detail that bothered a bit was that whenever someone passes through the hallway, the lights automatically switch on, and they are directly in front of the bed, and the curtains are not black-out. A few people kept walking around during the night and that made the lights keep switching on and bothered me a bit during sleep."
