"Die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft von Rafat und seiner Familie sind unübertroffen. Die einfachen, zweckdienlichen und sauberen Zimmer sowie das köstliche Nacht- und Morgenessen haben unseren Besuch an der Westbank in Verbindung mit dem Luxormarathon zum Highlight unserer Ferien werden lassen. Nicht zuletzt auch deshalb, weil die Ausgrabungsstätten direkt von der riesigen Terrasse aus als Panorama zu bewundern sind, sondern schlussendlich auch, weil die Menschen der Westbank verglichen mit der Eastbank wirklich noch Menschen sind. (In der Eastbank (südöstlich des Nils) fühlt man sich heutzutage definitiv als wandelndes Geld, das mit aller Schamlosigkeit genervt wird, hier in der Westbank (nordwestlich des Nils) ist davon absolut nichts spürbar.) Ein ganz grosses Dankeschön an Rafat und sein Umfeld an dieser Stelle und eine ganz(!) klare Empfehlung zur Wahl dieser etwas ausserhalb liegenden Unterkunft."

"Pharaoh's Hotel was absolutely lovely. The owner Refaet was such an amazing host. He was very attentive and can organise anything you like. The location is right across from the Valley of the Queen's and Worker's. The food was excellent and absolutely generous portions. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe and had a great time. In winter it is cold at night so just ask for extra blankets. The water in my room was hot and I had plenty of shower time before it started cooling down. The view from the rooftop is breath taking too! Don't let the out of the way location deter you, this is a great hotel!"

"Position is key, great for all the West Bank antiquities. Hotel is a bit shabby and shows its age. But god forbid they pull it down and build a 5* in its place. This is the West Bank at its best, Welcoming, homely and great value for money. Bed was comfortable, Water was hot and sockets in room to charge up your batteries."

"Very good location at west bank. Hussein is the best! He arranged everything that we needed, and always there to help. He gave us suggestions on what to visit as well. Communication was very easy with him. We had a good time in Luxor."

"Usually people stay on the East Bank in Luxor and do a day trip to the West Bank. I decided to stay here because I wanted more freedom to explore. The owner, Mr Refaat was really nice and helped me with anything I needed. He arranged a driver to the VotK and the East Bank for a great price. Most of the things I did though, was on a bicycle that you can rent, which was great. Also for a nice price. The hotel is located right in between everything you want to see on the West Bank, and by bicycle you can get anywhere quite fast. 5 min to Colossi of Memnon and 15~20 minutes to Hatshepsut temple. Even VotK is possible, but best to attempt this in winter and morning, otherwise might be to hot. A nice dinner can be arranged by the hotel and is freshly prepared. I also liked the area a lot. It was a lot more laidback in contrast to the East Bank and Cairo. For me the stay was excellent and at a great price!"

He is always considerable and helpful, if you need anything, first talk to him. He will help you to satisfy all your needs without cheating. He helped me to get a Hot Air Balloon ride with really low price. Without his help, I could spend much more. The hotel is near to The Valley of Kings, The Valley of Queens and Habu Temple. Almost all attractions on the West Bank are within 3km."
