La BARBELLA

"Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Aus dem gemütlichen Innenhof mit Sitzecke und Couch gelangt man in den Wohnbereich mit Küche, Essbereich, bequemer Couch und Smart-TV. Daran schließt das geräumige Schlafzimmer an, von dem ein weiterer kleiner Raum sowie das Bad abgehen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet (sogar mit Tee, Kaffee, Gewürzen und Öl und Geschirrspüler). Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in Lourmarin und ist sehr ruhig. Die Gastgeberin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hat uns schöne (und weniger bekannte) Ausflugsziele in der Gegend empfohlen."

"Der Lage im Erdgeschoss entsprechend ist die Wohnung dunkel und vor allem ziemlich kühl - wenn man nicht im Hochsommer da ist, sollte man warme Sachen dabei haben. Das Bad ist offen (also ohne Tür), die Toilette aber immerhin nicht einsehbar."

"The location was excellent. Our host was very helpful suggesting other places in the area that are interesting to visit. The rental property was very roomy and had lots of artistic flare. There were plenty of kitchen implements to prepare a dinner."

"The ceilings were a bit low for me and I am 5 ft 11 inches. The power went out and all was quickly restored except the kitchen breaker by the stove. A minor thing that was worked around. We were unable to contact the owner Valerie to let her know."

"Some simple additions, like a toaster, a hook to hang the shower head, a blind for for the skylight and supply of shower gel , would raise Barbella to a 10/10"

"The garden room is essentially dug into the rock which is part of its charm! It is, however, rather damp (we noticed bed linens and clothes were damp during our stay). A dehumidifier should ideally be on 24/7."

"This property was in a lovely town and the apartment was easy to access. The apartment itself is full of character, spacious and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We did take the opportunity to cook a meal. We didn’t spend as much time as we’d hoped using the courtyard as the weather wasn’t fine for our few days and we were out and about during the day. It was easy to park nearby (no cost) and walk luggage in. Loved hearing the bells ring overhead."

"It’s a really lovely, quirky place hosted by an artist. Valerie was friendly and helpful leaving us instructions which made self check in easy. Unique, lovely garden and terrace. Comfortable but simple and roomy as the downstairs is a sitting room/ well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed relaxing here at end of a day of sightseeing. Well located and close to everything with parking less than 500 metres away."

"The toilet is really close to the actual bed and has only a curtain. We found this quite disconcerting and not at all hygienic. Very small double bed. Not great for people with mobility issues as there’s a staircase to get up to the bedroom."
