"Mitten in der Altstadt, Blick auf den Marktplatz, sehr ruhig, da verkehrsfrei. Das Appartement ist sehr großräumig und sehr gut eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich wie ein Großbürger zur Zeit der französischen Könige. Kein Wunder, das Gebäude ist 500 Jahre alt, aber zumindest das von uns bewohnte Appartement hochwertig renoviert. Außerdem ist Sarlat eine Reise wert."

"Character apartment right in the medieval centre. Very clean and comfortable with all the necessary things needed to feel at home. I particularly appreciated the artwork and antique furniture. I stayed here a week and it was a pleasure. As it’s in the centre of town surrounded by restaurants and shops it’s not quiet if you have the windows open but when closed it is fine."

"The apartment could not have been in a better location - right in the heart of the old medical town centre, near all the lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. But still so very quiet at night for sleeping. The high ceilings, thick stone walls and window shutters kept the apartment lovely and cool, despite the outside sunshine temperature of 30+ degrees. The shower room is spacious and accommodating. Kitchen is well equipped, although we did not use it due to so many lovely restaurants close by! A fantastic apartment."

"Fredrick was an excellent host. The location is amazing, right in the middle of a main square. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable."

"Moving in with luggage was difficult. Cars are not allowed near the apartment after 11 am. It’s a long way to walk with luggage, especially on cobblestone walkways. The heaters were turned off and the apartment was a bit cold. The washer is nice but without a dryer clothes took a couple of days to dry. There was an old coffee filter with grounds in the coffee maker. Maybe a nit but depending on the previous tenants without inspection can lead to problems."

"Hard to know where to start with the positive aspects. This was an amazing place to stay, and Frederic, the manager, was brilliant to deal with. The building dates from 1524, and the apartment has all the modern conveniences, but also a real feeling of the rich history of the building. Just opening the grand windows, and looking out onto the lively square feels great. Overall, a wonderful place to stay."
