"Es wär gut gewesen vor der Ankunft zu wissen, dass ein Betreten der Örtlichkeit nich jeder Zeit vor dem einchecken möglich ist. Generell handelt es sich um ein gut geführtes B&B und nicht um ein Hotel."

"Die Lage des Hotels ist extrem gut! Man geht aus dem Haus und steht mitten im Hafen. Die Stimmung im Ort mit der umliegenden Festungsanlage ist sehr anregend, aber auch gleichzeitig beschaulich. Unser Zimmer im Innenhof war sehr schön gestaltet, wie das gesamte Hotel sehr persönlich ausgestattet ist."

"Leider mußten wir fast 2 Stunden warten, bis man uns aufgesperrt hat, obwohl wir unsere Ankunft dezidiert angekündigt hatten. Kein Zimmerservice - nur auf Verlangen."

"Le Lanternon is a hidden jewel, curated to perfection by its wonderful and warm owner, Jerome. The building itself is very beautiful, with parquet floors high ceilings and many original features. Jerome has taken much care and effort to restore it, while also providing every comfort you may require. Breakfast each morning was delicious, served on beautiful hand made pottery. Coffee, tea and water on tap and an honour bar. The rooms are spacious, peaceful and cool. It’s best to think of it as a lovely private home to which you are invited to stay, rather than an unoriginal five star luxury hotel. To come with that expectation is to miss the point entirely. We have now stayed there for two years running and intend to make a regular annual pilgrimage. It could not be in a better location, right in the heart of St Martin, a charming port village with great restaurants and shops."

"We loved the artsy, bohemian vibe; the gorgeous dog, Phenix, the charming owner Jerome and his delightful colleague, Lucille. The location was fantastic just a shade away from the busy-ness of the harbour but also a stone's throw of the amenities."

"We had a garden room with a mezzanine floor which was beautiful but very hot making it a challenge to sleep well. There was a fan. The age of the building probably means AC is not an option but would have been welcome. This issue was only a small set back to our stay."

"The 5pm check in is quite late & hotel only staffed until 8pm it would be nice to be able to have a drink in the lovely bar area when you return from dinner."

"This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Incredibly stylish and comfortable. The location is fantastic, very central and close to all the restaurants and shops. Jérôme is a great host and is there for any questions or advice you need. Our room was really well laid out and could be in a magazine. Interior decorations overall are very imaginative and well sourced. We enjoyed reading and hanging out in the salon area. Very comfortable. We highly recommend."

"St Martin is a pedestrianised town and there is virtually no parking anywhere in the centre. However, there is paid parking a 3 minute walk away and free parking 10 minutes away. We unloaded our luggage in front of the hotel then used the free parking. It was really easy in the end."
