"Logis du paradis is an oasis of calm and comfort. It was the perfect place for us to spend a couple of days relaxing after a hectic weekend at a wedding nearby. Marie-Laure was amazing in recommending local places of interest and helping us book a river cruise in Cognac, and arrange a visit to a local distillery. We had dinner there one evening (book in advance as there's no restaurant), which was beautiful as was breakfast each day, served on the terrace. Great attention to detail and choiceof food. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious with lots of character, including a big, old fireplace. The bathroon was large with a great walk-in shower, and a bath. We also had the use of a shared, fully equipped kitchen. Gorgeous place. Highly recommended."

"We loved our stay! Our host was friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English. The property was perfect for our group of two families staying in two villas. The four kids enjoyed the freedom of exploring the private walled garden and spending time in the treehouse. The pool was clean, with beautiful surroundings. The houses were full of character and spacious for our family of four. The ceilings are low downstairs which took some getting used to and the lounge isn't big, but the dining table was a good size for a big group. The kitchen was well set up with dishwasher and cooking utensils. Very peaceful."

"We really enjoyed our stay, but there were two things which were unfortunate. Firstly, our villa was the end house (the two bedroom with queen and two single beds) and had an unpleasant smell outside, presumably from the septic tank system. Therefore sitting outside our villa wasn't an option due to the smell. It also wasn't a very picturesque outlook as the small gravel courtyard outside the front door was looking at the rubbish bin and washing line. We moved our outdoor table into the neighbouring 2 bed villa which our friends were in with a lovely enclosed private courtyard, and didn't have the smell. Secondly, we understood that the property was self contained, but it wasn't made clear that literally nothing would be provided. We arrived at 9pm directly from the airport, understanding that we would need to pop out in the morning to get breakfast and food for the week, but on arrival found we needed toilet paper, hand soap etc. There were also no basics provided in the kitchen like salt, pepper, oil etc, which is usually standard in our experience (but not in France we now understand). We mentioned to our lovely host that advising this in the pre-arrival email might be helpful for others."

"This IS paradise as soon as you pass the door ! A very clean swimming pool, across from our room. We are given towels for spending time in a private pool area surrounded by charming buildings reminiscent of Provence. The grounds are beautiful; with a park, a large courtyard with a pretty patio to have meals and particularly breakfast outdoors. Our room was beautifully arranged with curated artwork that I almost bought! Clean rooms. Great quality stay. Marie-Laure was very nice. I will recommend!"

"Beau corps de ferme typiquement charentais. Très bien aménagé avec de grands espaces qui permettent une indépendance entre les différents logements. Belle piscine et autres loisirs (table de ping-pong) très appréciables. Petit-déjeuner copieux avec des produits locaux. Aí eu la chance de le prendre en terrasse avec une belle présentation. Très bel accueil de Marie-Laure que l’on ressent très attachée à son domaine et qui l’entretient avec minutie. Chambre confortable (à l’étage avec climatisation individuelle qui a été un plus avec la chaleur caniculaire) Enfin, le site est au milieu des vignes et des coteaux avec de très belles routes idéales pour balades à pied et vélo. En plein coeur de la Charente authentique. Je recommande et ne manquerai pas de revenir en famille ou avec des amis."
