"Hotel Bambu war DAS Highlight unserer Guatemala Reise. Eigener Bootssteg - das colectivo Boot hat uns direkt am Hotelsteg hingefahren (5 Quetzales Mehrpreis). Wir hatten einen der drei Bungalows mit traumhaftem Blick auf den Atitlan See - groß, geräumig, sauber! Terrasse mit Sesseln und Sofa und direktem Seeblick. Sehr leckeres Frühstück und bekanntes Restaurant - sehr fein! Nicht billig, lohnt sich aber! Poolanlage sehr schön - alles inmitten einem botanischen Garten. Pool könnte besser gepflegt werden. Mitarbeiter sehr nett und hilfreich - z.B. bei Buchung private driver von Santiago nach El Paredon am Pazifik"

"Tolle Anlage und Lage- wir waren froh Santiago Atitlan als Stützpunkt zu haben. Authentisch und Villa Bambu hat eine wunderbare Lage mit sehr schönem Garten- der Deluxe Bungalow vorne war besonders schön. Das Personal ist super nett!"

"Die Betten waren für uns relativ hart, wir konnten aber dennoch ganz gut darauf schlafen. Abends relativ laute Musik von ausserhalb und Hunde bellen auch in der Nacht. Gestört hat es nicht wirklich."

The restaurant was very nice with amazing views of the lake. We also really enjoyed the quetzal tour with bird expert Diego. The rest of the staff was also very helpful."

"The property is built in a stunning garden right on Lake Atitlan. It has a gorgeous pool, hot tub and sauna. The views are breathtaking and starting your day with coffee as the sun rises over the hills is an experience you will never forget"

"The jungle suite was the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. It was phenomenal, at night time the outside garden was lit up and it was magical. The room was faultlessly clean, it felt brand new. The bed was very comfortable. The gardens were lovely, with a great view over the lake. The food in the restaurant is really good and reasonably priced. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and gave us lots of useful information. You can get a private boat to and from the hotel which reception can organise, the price was the same price being offered elsewhere for a private boat. It is walking distance from the town and there are some little shops nearby. WiFi was good throughout the hotel. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Guatemala!"

"We decided we didn't want to get a private boat, so we had to get a lancha from Panajachel to San pedro, then a tuk tuk to a different dock in San pedro, then a lancha to Santiago and a tuk tuk from there to hotel Bambu, which was quite a hassle with all our luggage. Getting back to Panajachel was easier as there was a direct lancha from Santiago. It was all totally worth it though just for this hotel (I don't think I would take a trip to Santiago if it wasn't for this hotel). You do have to book a slot to use the jacuzzi area which we weren't aware of, and on one of the days there wasn't enough beds/seats around the pool for everyone to sit on."

"Here's one of my best hotels in life. Cuisine, drink, food, nature surrounding hotel, and hospitality - all excellent. Very easy to catch tuktuk on the street nearby, so good access to the center of town. Wifi is very well connected in public space. Food eaten here is more than excellent and reasonbly priced. It was my 3rd visit, and I'll def come back here next time. I'm already missing this hotel!"
