It's a bit far from city center and from restaurants, so few options for vegetarians like me.

The walk to to the beach is not bad it is right across the street however it is not a main beach so make sure to have water shoes. we didn't swim there and walked down to the area's with most of the resorts. That is a solid 20-30 minute walk one way. The only issue with walking was that if you want restaurants they are down there so having a car would be more convenient.

"In our journey around Issyk-Kul, here we had the best beds/mattresses and here we could sleep in a dark room when closing the curtains. We also enjoyed the proximity of the lake. We had dinner at Uigur restaurant at the main road (highly recommended). The owner was extremely helpful with everything we need."

"Äußerst herzliches Personal, sehr schön in der Natur gelegen, tolle Nature Walks, Kontakt zum Maasai Village, keine luxuriöse Küche, dafür äußerst schmackhaft. Kein großer Luxus, aber alles was man braucht."

Mainly that the experience does not correspond with the price, which would fit a 5-star hotel. Here everybody’s friendly and they try their best, but it feels like it’s the first time they are being a waiter, a host etc.

Wir hatten die Karussellbyn zu zweit. Ich würde sie auf keinen Fall für mehr als zwei Personen buchen. Nicht gefallen wäre zu viel gesagt aber für zwei Menschen fanden wir es gerade so ausreichend.

"Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Es wurde sogar Laktose- und glutenfreie Lebensmittel und Milch für den Kaffee angeboten. Diesen Wunsch sollte man jedoch vorher kurz mitteilen. Der kleine See neben dem Frühstücksraum mit Sitzgelegenheit ist sehr schön."
