SM Hostel

"Für ein Hostel mit Mehrbettzimmern absolut Okay . Das Personal ist super und hilft einem bei jeder Frage oder Problemen . Sehr große Gastfreundlichkeit, ich wurde permanent gefragt ob ich etwas brauche wie Kaffee oder etwas zu Essen. Die Zimmer sind genau wie auf den Fotos beschrieben, die Leute sind sehr ehrlich und passen auch auf das niemand unbefugtes hereinkommt. Ich habe 40 pro Nacht gezahlt was für isländische Verhältnisse äußerst gut klar geht . Zu dem die Sommersaison noch nicht ganz vorbei war . Man sollte seine Ansprüche einfach nicht zu hoch stellen und wer dies auch macht wird hiermit wirklich zufrieden sein ."

"It was not my first time in the hostel. I liked it and decided to come back. The guy who manages the place is very nice and helpful, I arrived late at night and it was no problem at all."

"Everything was amazing, but above all, our host Youssef, who helped us with absolutely everything. We are a family with an 8-month-old baby, and Youssef was always available to support us in every way—from carrying the baby to making sure everything was perfect to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our flight was canceled due to the bankruptcy of the Icelandic low-cost airline, and here we found a home away from home. The place is close to the city center. The rooms are clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows, and the heating is excellent. There is a large kitchen fully equipped with cookware and water, and they provide tea and coffee. There are many spacious showers available, and the bathrooms are always clean. Free parking is right outside, and there is a quiet lounge area with sofas to relax."

"The welcome we recieved on arrival was excellent, the warden made us very welcome and safely stored our luggage for the day whilst we explored Reykjavik. Maby thanks."

"Yousef was an absolutely excellent host. He advised me on a great taxi company to come and pick me up when I got stuck in a storm. He made me a cup of tea and introduced me to some people at the hostel who became good friends."

"Great location, in walking distance of the nature museum and the centre of Reykjavik the host was so kind and really made sure all guests had everything they needed, such as complimentary coffee, towels and even free access to the washing machine and drier. We initially booked two beds in a mixed room but upon arrival we were showed to the all female dormitory, which we really appreciated. The entrance/ common and sitting area were also under video surveillance so it overall felt pretty safe. We did also have the option of locking our room. Toilets and showers seemed newly renovated, though regardless, I would always recommend brining slippers with you if you stay at hostels."

"Most furniture was quite worn and dated, beds were a bit squeaky and an appliance in the kitchen was broken. They were really minor things overall."
