Bait Ali Camp was built and designed in 1999 by its owner, Mr. Tahseen, who personally constructed the camp himself. With an architectural background influenced by Circassian heritage and a strong connection to the desert of Wadi Rum, he created a property that combines traditional character with thoughtful design. The camp was built using natural desert stones and locally sourced materials, blending authentic Bedouin style with subtle Circassian architectural elements. Over the years, the property has developed from traditional Bedouin tents into well-constructed rooms built with natural stone and brick, offering full Unterkunft-style amenities and private bathrooms. In addition to Bedouin rooms and chalets, the camp also features panoramic glass domes designed to provide views of the surrounding desert landscape. Facilities include a seasonal outdoor swimming Außenpool, evening campfires, and barbecue areas. The large kitchen serves local Arabic dishes, and the camp offers terraced seating areas with a traditional Zerb oven. Guests can explore Wadi Rum’s desert scenery and rock formations through activities such as jeep tours, ATV and buggy safaris, camel riding, land sailing, and hot air balloon experiences. Bait Ali Camp is located near Wadi Rum’s main road. Aqaba is approximately 55 km away, and the Ragdia desert highway turnoff is about 15 km from the camp.

"Was mir weniger gefallen hat, war die Ausstattung der Zimmer. Diese wirkte etwas veraltet und könnte eine Modernisierung vertragen, um dem sonst sehr positiven Gesamteindruck gerecht zu werden. Trotzdem kann ich das Hotel aufgrund des tollen Service und der Lage weiterempfehlen."
"Die Anlage ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Die Häuschen sind mit Kühlschrank und Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Pool, was sehr angenehm nach einer Wüstentour ist. Wir haben das Angebot einer Jeeptour angenommen und können diese uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Sie ist bei Weitem besser als wenn man eine beim Wadi Rum touristen Center bucht. Am Morgen haben wir eine Quadtour unternommen. Was absolut toll ist..das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen waren sehr gut .Wie gesagt, wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen"

"The camp staff is AMAZING. Osama was the most supportive, he called to schedule and facilitate our arrival to the camp and upgraded our room free of charge. He coordinated a mix of day trip and amazing stargazing night in the desert away from the light pollution (recomeneded trip). The food (breakfast and dinner) was very good with available chicken Zarb, meat Zarb, and vigiterian options. The camp is family friendly and the location is accessible by small cars with safe car parking. The pool in the middle of the desert is a plus, especially during morning and after noon hours. In the last day, I asked about the checkout time, they replied by offering flexible late checkout along with the option of having another room to rest till the end of the day! Camp Ali team is very generous and welcoming. They reflected the Jordanian heritage and culture."

"We had a great stay at this hotel, the staff is immensely helpful and super nice, they made us feel so welcome here and made sure all our request were answered. On top of it the hotel itself is very beautiful (rooms with roof window are breathtaking) and the food is amazing. I highly recommend choosing this hotel, it’s a literal oasis on a desert!"

"I had a great stay at Petra Voyager Hostel. The hostel is very clean, well-organized, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to give advice about visiting Petra and the surrounding areas. The rooms are comfortable, with good beds and clean bathrooms, and the common areas are perfect for relaxing or meeting other travelers. The food is very nice, fresh, and tasty, which makes the stay even better. The location is excellent very close to the Petra Visitor Center, making early morning visits easy. A big plus is the daily shuttle service to Wadi Rum, which is very convenient and well organized. Overall, it offers amazing value for money and truly feels like a home away from home. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Petra."

"Alles. Das Hostel ist sehr hübsch und sehr sauber, die Familie, die es bewirtschaftet, ist außergewöhnlich nett, die Zimmer sind charmant und alles, was man braucht ist da. Das Essen ist mehr als ausreichend und sehr gut und traditionell. Diese lieben Menschen haben das Essen für unsere Tochter (2) nicht berechnet, obwohl sie gesehen haben, wie groß ihr Appetit bei diesem leckeren und abwechslungsreichen Essen war :) Auch die Weiterfahrt nach Wadi Rum Village wurde mit dem lokalen Bus organisiert. Obwohl sie selbst Touren zur Wüste anbieten. Sie haben uns einfach mit in den lokalen Bus gesetzt, ohne uns zu einer Tour zu überreden oder irgendetwas anderes aufzudrängen. Wirklich ganz tolle Besitzer des Hostels, herzlich, großzügig und man darf einfach machen, was man möchte und wird unterstützt, wenn man Informationen braucht, aber völlig unaufdringlich!"
"Wir waren drei Tage im Petra Hostel im Februar zu Gast. Die Zimmer verfügen über ein Bad mit Warmwasser, sind sauber und haben eine Klimaanlage mit der sich über Nacht auch heizen läßt, wenn es einmal kälter werden sollte. Zudem ist ein Fernseher vorhanden, den wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Das Frühstück, sowie das Abendessen sind landestypisch gehalten, wobei die Portionen reichlich sind. Zudem gibt es auch die Möglichkeit Lunchpakete zu erhalten. Das Personal spricht gut englisch, ist jederzeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hostel liegt am Ortsrand und damit gute drei Kilometer und einige Höhenmeter von Petra entfernt, was wir bei der Buchung unterschätzt hatten. Aber auch hier konnte uns weitergeholfen werden. Insgesamt hat das Hostel bei uns einen sehr guten Eindruck hinterlassen."

"Tolle kleine Schlafkabinen, mit viel Privatsphäre. Fenster mit schönem Ausblick über die Stadt. Sehr nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal. Hat sich außerordentlich liebevoll um uns gekümmert, immer wieder Tee und Saft angeboten. Tolle Lage auch, nah an den Ausgrabungen von Petra. Auf Sauberkeit wird sehr geachtet, es wird täglich gründlich geputzt."
"Auf Wunsch haben wir ein sehr gutes Frühstück erhalten. Man hat dort auch die Möglichkeit ein Abendessen und ein Lunchpaket zu bestellen. Das Abendessen war sehr umfangreich."
