"Neben dem schönen Ambiente, welches andere *„traditionelle“ Unterkünfte weit in den Schatten stellt, stechen besonders die Serviceleistungen heraus. Es gab angenehme japanische Pyjamas, eine kleine Teebar und einen eigens vom Betreiber bestückten Minikühlschrank mit Getränken. Dazu kommt noch ein leckeres Frühstück. Besonders herausragend ist die Flexibilität des Gastgebers in Punkto Kommunikation. Jederzeit erreichbar, freundlich und schnell beim Beantworten von Fragen oder bei der Herausgabe von Empfehlungen. Nonna Milli liegt zwar etwas am Rand von Matsumoto, aber grade das bietet eine erfrischende Abwechslung zum Trubel von Städten wie Tokio oder Kyoto. *Mit „traditionelle“ ist lediglich gemeint, dass wir erst nach unserem Aufenthalt in Nonna Milli wussten was WIRKLICH traditionell ist ;)"

"Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Elia sehr genossen. Das Haus ist unglaublich schön und gab uns einen tollen Einblick in die Japanische Wohn- und Schlafkultur. Der Gastgeber ist sehr hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Da die Unterkunft etwas ausserhalb liegt, waren seine Informationen zur Anreise mit ÖV sehr hilfreich. Als wir am Abend mit dem Bus angekommen sind, hat er uns bei der Bushaltestelle begrüsst und am nächsten Morgen auch zur nächsten Bahnstation gefahren, weil noch kein Bus gefahren ist. Wir haben diesen Service sehr zu schätzen gewusst, grazie mille, Elia!"

"Die Japanischen Betten sind für Europäer ungewohnt, da man hier traditionellerweise auf Matten schläft. Dieser Tatsache muss man sich bewusst sein, was das Schlaferlebnis allerdings nur umso authentischer macht."

"Das Zimmer ist wunderschön, typisch japanisch eingerichtet. Es steckt viel Liebe im Detail. Das Gastgeber-Paar ist sehr freundlich."

"Uns hat alles super gut gefallen, es war genauso wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Man muss wissen, wenn man mit Kindern unterwegs ist, dass es viele Türen gibt, die typisch japanisch mit Papier bespannt sind - da muss man einfach ein bisschen mehr aufpassen als sonst."

"The food and hospitality was absolutely phenomenal, the beds might have been the most comfortable we've slept on in our lives. Our room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. I'm already craving the dinner we had and will be trying to recreate it back home. This was easily the most comfortable stay we've had in the two times we've been to Japan."

"The interior of the house was well kept and beautiful. The breakfast provided was delicious and just what we needed to start the day. Our Japanese was very limited so having the owner have great English was also very nice. Having stayed on tatami mats elsewhere throughout our trip it was also nice to be provided some extra padding as an option as I tend not to be super comfortable on regular ones. Overall it would have been nice to stay longer but the time we had with Elia was great!"

"My family stayed one night in this wonderful newly renovated traditional Japanese house. We enjoyed it very much! The futon beds were very comfortable (firm but not too hard) and warm, and the breakfast (toast with egg, yogurt, strawberry jam, nuts, banana and coffee) was delicious. Thank you, Elia, for giving us the opportunity to stay in your house and to experience a bit of local tradition. 😃"

"The walls are a bit thin, so you will hear passing cars at night. But this is too be expected from the traditional building style."

"One of the best accommodation on our Japan trip. Elia and Yurie did a great job. Highly recommended for all of those who want to stay in a beautiful traditional Japanese house. Elia is an Italian Chef and offers delicious dinner too. We arrived initially by train and the host offered a transfer from Matsumoto train station. The next day we took the bus for the city and back, which was quite easy as the nearest bus station is located just about 20 Meters from Nonna Milli. (300 yen one way). Breakfast was very delicious, European style with real Italian coffee. We recommend to stay at least 2 or 3 nights as there are so many things to to do and to visit in the surroundings."
