"Yufuin Rakuyu ist ein Resort auf höchstem Niveau. Wir, absolute Japan-Neulinge, fühlten uns wie Gott in Frankreich. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel und luxuriös ausgestattet. Das eigene Freiluftbad war eine tolle Erfahrung und unglaublich erholsam. Wir haben in den 4 Tagen unseres Aufenthaltes einen umfangreichen Einblick in die luxuriöse japanische Meeresküche bekommen. Die Speisen waren auch optisch sehr ansprechend arrangiert - wirklich außergewöhnlich. Der Koch hat sich auf unsere Bedürfnisse eingestellt und Manches was für uns Europäer zu speziell war, anders zubereitet. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Die Kellnerinnen haben die Gerichte genau erklärt, wir haben tolle Empfehlungen für Sehenswertes in der Region erhalten. Neben dem Zimmer war auch der Garten außergewöhnlich und mit viel Liebe und Können gepflegt und gestaltet."

"The place was at the outskirts of town yet very near the popular attractions like the Yufuin Floral Village and Yunotsubo Street. The villas were ideal and spacious, the beds absolutely comfy and the service staff were just excellent and kind. The Chef's on duty always made sure our food were to our liking and personally came out to check that all is well taken care of. June-San and Miata-San went out of their way to make us feel at home including the rest of the staff of the hotel. Every single one of them made sure our stay was enjoyable."

"Despite all the good stuff.. 1 of the sliding door had a cold leak and the genkan was cold but they made sure the toilets had individual heaters."

"Stunning cottage perched on the mountain above Yufuin. We had an outdoor onsen. A nice mix of western touches like a bed and in room shower, with Japanese decor and the inimitable wonderful hospitality. We loved the Japanese breakfast"

"The environment was tranquil and quiet, which made our stay very relaxing and peaceful. The staff, who were mainly Japanese and speak only enough English to be able to communicate with guests, provided exceptional service at all times. Food quality was excellent and delicious. They were very careful with guests with dietary restriction and checked to be made what can and cannot be eaten by guests."

"For our room, the toilet was located a little further from the bedroom, which can be chilly when we walk there in the middle of the night. But not a big issue really."

"We received a free room upgrade! The room was gorgeous and the rotenburo was amazing. We have enjoyed it very much. Staff was really accommodating especially with our one year old baby. The most memorable thing maybe was the man who kept waving after we departed, that was heartwarming to see in the rearview mirror. Beautiful memories made here!"

"There was a sewage smell in the shower. That was distracting sometimes from the superb stay. There were no bathrobes that was a shame. I think they want to be very attentive and at our disposal al the time but at the Kaiseki diner there was a very high pace which made us feel very rushed especially dealing with a one year old haha. Dinner and breakfast were great though!"
