"Das Gesamtkonzept ist sehr ansprechend. Das ökologisch angebaute und zubereitete Essen ist fabelhaft. Die Lage auf dem Berg ist nicht ganz so leicht zu erreichen, aber noch hat es jeder Tuktuk Fahrer gekannt. Und die Lage lohnt sich. Es ist die beste Lage um die wunderschönen kambodchanischen Sonnenuntergänge zu genießen. Die Gastgeber sind ausgesprochen freundlich, aufgeschlossen und Hilfsbereit. Zu jedem Zeitpunkt haben wir uns gut aufgehoben und willkommen Gefühlt. Sie sind darüber hinaus lokal sehr gut vernetzt und können mit atemberaubenden und eindrucksvollen Empfehlungen weiterhelfen"

"Sehr schöne Anlage inmitten von Wiesen und Natur einige Kilometer außerhalb von Senmonorom. Alles ist neu eingerichtet, neben dem Haupthaus ein schöner, erfrischender Pool. Nachts kann es ein wenig kühler werden als das sonst in Kambodscha der Fall ist, was recht angenehm ist. Der Weg von/nach Senmonorom ist ungeteert, aber mit einem normalen Auto gut zu fahren. Nette Besitzer, die mit viel Herz die Lodge betreiben. Schöne kleine Häuser für die Übernachtung, bequeme Betten. Das Frühstück ist eher klein mit Ei, Joghurt, Kaffee/Tee, Orangensaft und etwas Gebäck. Abends kann man eine Mahlzeit bekommen, wobei die Familie Gemüse und Kräuter im eigenen Garten anbaut. In der Umgebung gibt es viele lohnende Ausflugsziele."

"We booked Sumeru on short notice due to a change of plan. From the beginninng the communication with Nico was very good. Bus tickets, Pick up Service from the bus ( because it is a bit outside of Sen Monorom). Nico organized it. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. On new years eve Nico and his wife made a barbecue for all guests together with the family- this was lovely. They offer breakfast and a homecooked tasty evening meal with vegetables from their garden. No need to go into town to eat! There is a pool, wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. It really looks like tuscany. There are lots of tours available in the area, but for us it was the perfect place to come down and relax. We can highly recommend Sumeru."

"The view was amazing, it was a really tranquil setting. Beautiful accommodation and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly."

"There wasn't anything we did not like. Be aware though that 'GRAB' does not operate in the area and Sumeru is quite far out. This was not a problem as we used tuk tuks or the lovely hosts gave us a lift."

"Sumeru is a piece of paradise. The accommodation is amazing. It has a beautiful pool and the French food is incredible! Most of it is home grown. The owners are lovely. We hired a bike from them for the day and they even tracked me down to deliver shoes I had accidentally left behind. Would definitely visit again."

"The situation of this hotel is stunning, with beautiful wide-ranging views out over rolling countryside. It’s found at the end of the lovely traditional Putang village, and we thought it is a far more pleasant place to stay than in town. The couple who run it were very friendly and welcoming and they cooked delicious, simple and small, but tasty meals. The home-made jams at breakfast with home-baked bread were lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower powerful and hot. I thoroughly recommend it."

"From check-in to checkout it was the absolute best. The staff and owners are very attentive to your needs. They go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable time. The home cooked food, bread and jams were AMAZING!! We enjoyed a Christmas eve dinner and a Christmas day BBQ with all the guests including a bonfire with s'mores, it was lovely and the highlight of our trip."
