Ocean Cottage

"Einfaches Ferienhaus mit allem was man braucht, aber nicht mehr. Das Highlight ist sicher der Pool - der ist schon außergewöhnlich. Auf demselben Grundstück befindet sich ein weiteres Ferienhaus, mit dem man sich diesen vermutlich teilt. Während unseres Aufenthaltes war dieses auch belegt, gesehen haben wir aber niemanden. Fußläufig sind einige Restaurants erreichbar, ansonsten mit Tuk - Tuk."

"Der Infintypool ist ein Traum. Den Kindern hat der Basketballkorb und die Tischtennisplatte auch noch sehr gut gefallen. Alles am Haus ;) Das Persolal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Nachbarschaft gibt es einen kleinen Hafen - interessant."

"There was no alternative power supply or llight source during the power failure and we had to rely on the torch in our mobile phones for half an hour."

"A wonderful little paradise right by the sea with an excellent pool. The area is spacious, secluded, and peaceful, with a long, uncrowded beach nearby where you can watch local fishermen at work in the mornings. The house is tidy and clean. It was hard to leave this place — I sincerely recommend it. It’s true that there are no shops nearby, so you need to go to a neighboring town, but the host arranged a tuk-tuk for us, and we were able to buy everything we needed — you just have to plan ahead."

"There was nothing we didn’t like, but if I had to mention a downside that might matter to some, it would be the limited kitchen equipment. Since we didn’t cook, we didn’t miss anything, but if you planned to prepare your own meals, you might find a lack of pots or pans—though the host would likely provide them if asked. Another point, which didn’t bother us but could be considered a drawback, is that there are two private houses on this large property. They are separated, and you don’t see or disturb each other while on the terraces, but the pool area is shared between both houses, so you would need to share it with the other guests."

"One of two bungalows sharing a beautiful coconut lined garden with a 28m infinity pool overlooking two stunning beaches(as keen lap pool swimmers, we made the most of it)! We rented the smaller of the two bungalows which had 2 en-suite A/C bedrooms. It was comfortable but basic. Lester the caretaker lives on site and is always on hand should you need him. He did some washing for us and fetched a few provisions. You can walk down to the deserted beach from the garden and watch/help the fishermen haul in their nets. Sea very rough, not suitable for swimming. Every morning we were blown away by how stunningly beautiful the grounds and views were. We were the only 2 people there during our 4 day stay. Upoint restaurant is about 15 minute walk away and offer a free Tuk Tuk ride to their restaurant should you need it. Lovely family run restaurant serving excellent food."

"This was my favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka. The location is absolutely stunning, and the infinity pool with a direct view of the beach is incredible—definitely the highlight of the stay. The cottage is simple but comfortable, with everything you need. I also loved the monkeys around the property and the local dog, Lulu."

"We were a group of 6, including two children (ages 10 and 14). Every single one of us enjoyed the weekend we spent at Ocean Cottage. The cottage is charming and comfortable. The property is really nice and quiet. The highlights of our stay were definitely the pool and the food."

"Such an excellent stay, the photos don’t do it justice, the pool is amazing and right next to a beautiful beach. Lester is brilliant host/ caretaker, and can cook dinner and breakfast, which is very good quality. He also made some simple dishes for our young children. He also arranged a Tuk Tuk to an ATM and shops, five minutes drive away. Also just a few minute walk is a restaurant/bar called Thurya which is excellent, and run by a local family. Great for a drink or dinner. Also we went on a lagoon tour with wildlife wonders, five minutes walk from the cottage, highly recommend."
