A cozy, comfortable room (even decorated in retro style) with a refrigerator and electric kettle, enough space in the closet and bedside tables."

"Mere trifles, such as a not very good place to fix the shower, a short cable for the electric kettle, only one roll of toilet paper per week of hotel stay, and other insufficient details."

"I was especially grateful for the unexpectedly high level of English spoken (my need as a foreign visitor who could not speak the local language) by most Reception staff (and the one who apparently didn't speak English, at least not confidently, went out of her way to communicate nonetheless). I was also very appreciative of their extra considerations for a foreign guest, including, for only one, storing my bag while I traveled elsewhere. I also was very appreciative of the nearby large "hypermarket". It's some time ago now, and I must apologize for not remembering more."

"The only one thing that stands out is the problem I had with mosquitoes. With their permission, I used a mosquito-repellant coil. But that was a mistake for two reasons: the smoke is unhealthy, and it leaves an unpleasant odor. Perhaps they might consider what a later accommodation does: have less offensive electric mosquito-repellant devices available for guests who request them. One other negative I recall (and one which I experienced in most other Eastern European accommodations I've stayed at as well, so it might be the norm for some reason), is non-existent trash/rubbish cans in the bedroom, with only the very small ones in bathrooms, presumably for toilet tissue (which, btw, visitors from outside the region might not realize the importance of the need to use). This is *not* a matter of "dislike", but I think perspective guests might want to know that each room that I saw is decorated differently. It was *not* an unpleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless, differing from most hotels, motels, and pensions I've stayed in."
