"Es handelt sich um ein Hostel im Stil früherer Jahrzehnte, mit viel Charakter und Atmosphäre. Gäste, die modernen Standard-Luxus, sterile Hoteloptik, Aufzug oder durchgehende Klimatisierung erwarten, könnten sich hier weniger angesprochen fühlen. Puerto Ángel ist ein aktives Fischerdorf: Es kann laut sein, es gibt viel Leben, der Hauptstrand wird für die Fischerboote genutzt. Das sollte man wissen. Uns hat genau das gefallen, andere empfinden es vielleicht anders."

"This place was a recomendation from a friend, who was there years ago. It has a really easy-going vibe, the location is beautiful with the terraces, the plants and the view to the beach. They are really taking care of the place with cleaning, gardening and chatting with guests. Very familiar. It's a beautiful nest to calm down and enjoy Puerto Ángel."

"Maybe only that they didn’t have AC and it was very hot in the room or you had to use a very noisy fan, but it is standard in Oaxaca, and they did have mosquito nets. It wasn’t a problem for us, but you have to take many steps to go up. We thought it was nice because it takes you higher up for a better view and farther away from the traffic. But just in case someone has a problem with it - good to know"

"Gundi y Tomas is basic and homey, spotlessly clean - Bastien and Carina who own it are kind and helpful. It's hot at night, but that's to be expected. Hammocks to enjoy the afternoon breeze. Friendly and chill. A very sweet spot."

"The open kitchen - with all the utensils needed to prepare food and coffee - was great. Similarly it was a treat to have free access to lots of food and drink left behind by previous residents. These vittles were placed in special bins (inside the fridge and on pantry shelves clearly listed as "giveaways" to be consumed by any interested residents."
