Hotel Blater

"Das Hotel liegt in der Mitte des Zicatela-Strandes, während die touristischen Hotspots eher an den beiden Enden des Standes liegen. Trotzdem alles in max. 20 Minuten fußläufig erreichbar. Für mich eine gute Lagen. Das Hotel habe ich als sehr sauber und sicher empfunden. Den Pool habe ich zur Abkühlung gerne genutzt. Ich habe mir ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gegönnt, womit ich sehr zufrieden war. Ich kann den Aufenthalt im Hotel Blater empfehlen."

"Sehr schöne Aussicht auf Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse im 4.Stock. Auch hier befindet sich ein toller Pool wo man den Sonnenuntergang geniessen kann. Es gibt auch einen Poolbar mit tolle Liegen. Die Zimmer sind sind sehr schön gross und gemütlich, das Persobal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit."

"Die Zimmer mit Ozeansicht sind leider viel zu überteuert. Das Zentrum ist etwas weiter etfernt (15 Min zu Fuss) , das ist noch in Ordnung aber leider fehlt da teilweise die Strassenbeleuchtung. Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Meer, es ist leider Baden im Meer nicht gestattet, daher müssten wir an andere Strände gehen. Nachts wird die Tür vom Hotel abgeschlossen, man muss warten bis man reingelsassen wird."

"Personal super zuvorkommend und nett. Ein tolles hotel mit zwei Pools. Sehr ruhig, wir waren fast die einzigen Gäste weil wir in der Zeit nach Ostern da waren. direkt am Strand, an dem man allerdings nicht schwimmen darf. Das Zimmer hatte alles was man braucht, sehr bequeme große Betten. Im hotel gibt es Wasserspender zum kostenlosen Auffüllen unserer Wasserflaschen. Lage ist genau zwischen la punta (25 min zu Fuß) und den bars in Zicatela und deshalb ruhig aber trotzdem gut located."

"Das Restaurant das zum Hotel gehört ist aus unserer Sicht nicht empfehlenswert. Es gibt wesentlich bessere in der Umgebung."

"The location of the hotel is great, with the beach right on your doorstep and the excellent Zicatela market just 10 mins walk away. We also loved the Tamarindos neighbourhood just close by. The pools are beautiful, although the 2nd floor one was actually a bit too cold to swim in. Our room was cleaned spotlessly every day and was comfortable with a generous balcony."

"We really disliked it that there was no fridge in the room, especially somewhere so hot. We needed to keep milk cold for our toddler and this wasn't possible and they charged us 60 pesos for a glass of milk! There was rarely any staff in the top floor bar and generally the staff were quite unresponsive. We booked a room for four people but only got 2 towels and we requested a cot which was not provided. Overall it was a bit overpriced for what is a very nice but fairly average hotel."

"Good food, helpful staff, excellent room and a fantastic rooftop terrace with an infinity pool to take in the amazing sunsets!!"

"Not real criticisms. Laundry took a day longer than told to come back (including other people’s items) and we did have to wait a while to get a waitress to order food / drinks but these were minor points."

"Loved the pools, the view, the lounge, the beach — all pristine and peaceful. Our room was clean and we appreciated the patio, the parking, the free wifi, the restaurant downstairs, and the convenient location. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Hours for restaurant and poolside service were a little unpredictable, but when serving it was nice and convenient. The location is a few blocks from the action which is great because it's calm and quiet but street lights are few and far between. It didn't seem unsafe — our family walked to the restaurant area each night and had no issues — but using our phone flashlights helped us see uneven pavement etc. Overall we thought it was a good balance between quiet and convenience."
