"Echt gemütlich. Der Besitzer spricht super Englisch, antwortet schnell und ist hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine Außemküche am Pool. Es gibt vor und hinter dem Haus möglichkeiten zum relaxen. Die Zimmer sind Klimatisiert und die Dorm Betten haben einen Vorhang. Die Betten sind gut und die Bäder sind normal also völlig außreichend. In der nähe ist ein großer Supermarkt von dem auch Busse zum Terminal fahren. Neben dem Supermarkt etwas weiter die Straße runter ist ein VA&Ven in einer Tankstelle welcher länger auf hat und essen sowie Getränke zum gleichen Preis wie ein Supermarkt verkauft. Das Taxi vom Terminal hatte 4€ gekostet. Mir hat es gut gefallen und würde wieder herkommen."

"Really lovely hostel, pool is great and Luis, the owner, is really lovely and happy to help with anything. He ordered a taxi for me, and it was way cheaper than if I had ordered one for myself. Rooms are clean, get soap and a fresh towel with your stay and the AC works VERY well"

"The kitchen could sometimes be a bit dirty, but it seemed that someone comes into clean it (not sure how regularly). My only recommendation (and it’s a bit of a weird one), would be to put hooks in the bathrooms to hang up towel/clothes when someone is showering. I didn’t really like having to put all my stuff on the floor."

"I stopped in David on the road between Panama City and Manuel Antonion in Costa Rica. Bambu Hostel was the perfect place to break the journey, and Luis, the manager is just awesome! So kind, friendly and welcoming. He's full of advice, and really made the stay an enjoyable one! The rooms are ample and the bed was comfortable. The location is a little distant from the centre HOWEVER it's about 100m from a bus stop on the main highway towards Paso Canoa, the Costa Rican border - so it was perfect! There's also a big supermarket nearby with a pleasant cafeteria. The outdoor entertaining area with a pool looked awesome as well, but I arrived late and it was the rainy season, so I didn't use it."

"If you want to be close to the centre of David, then be aware that this is about a 5 minute taxi ride. Uber works in David. Also, the room was a little narrow - it wasn't really an issue for me, but just in case that kind of thing bothers you. Honestly, I couldn't find fault with Bambu Hostel - I recommend it!"

"Air conditioning. This hostel lets you have the air conditioner on 24 hours. Where as the other hostels I was staying at only let you turn on the air conditioner at night and you don't even need the air conditioner on at night as much too. You need the air conditioner on in the day more. There is also a hot water shower which is good and a kitchen."

"The kitchen didn't have a lighter. You need a lighter to start the propane stove, but I bought one."

"Luis (owner) is extremely nice and friendly. Talked with him for hours about traveling around Central America. Great location near a supermarket and gym, and they have in house laundry so I was able to recharge before the next destination. Highly recommend!"

"L'emplacement était très bien. Près d'un supermarché. Un coin résidentiel donc très tranquille. Une cuisine bien équipée. Un lit confortable. Étant donné que David n'est pas au bord de la mer, la piscine est un atout. Lewis (le gérant?) parle un anglais impeccable a répondu à toutes nos questions. Excellent rapport qualité/prix"
