"Die Gesamte Unterkunft ist ein sehr stimmiges Paket. Die Ankunft ist herzlich und freundlich, die Zimmer bzw Bungalows sind super bequem und süß (und auch im Winter schön warm dank Heizung!). Die Betten im Zimmer sind weich und breit genug für 2 Personen. Parken kann man direkt vor der Unterkunft. Unbedingt das angebotene Abendessen nehmen! Ist war etwas teurer als wo anders, aber extrem lecker. Frühstück ist ausreichend und lecker. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und helfen gerne. Die Besitzer haben auch einen dattelhain und es gibt Frische, hauseigene Datteln. Sehr lecker :)"

"We really liked this place, it was very interesting to stay in an oasis, very memorable. We had our own little house, spacious enough, hot water in the shower with good pressure, a kettle in the room. The garden is lovely, there were lemons, tangerines, roses, other flowers and pomelo in January. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and kind, they explained some interesting things about the garden when we asked, and called us to watch how dates were being picked in the neighboring plantation, which was really interesting! We pre-ordered set dinner (lamb as the main course) for 55 TND, it was cooked by the time we arrived around 8, tasty and good value for money. For breakfast, they served "deglet nour" dates from their plantation, very interesting to try. There's a shop where they sell dates from the plantation and date-based products such as date seed "coffee"."

"It was just a bit cold in January (like in most places we stayed at in Tunisia), the aircon (with heating) is in the hallway rather than in the bedroom so a bit cold in the bedroom. But there were extra blankets in the wardrobe so it was fine to sleep there."

"The hosts were lovely and extremely welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful time, it could not have been better! The garden is beautiful and the perfect place to relax. Additionally, the food in the restaurant was very good and clearly prepared with love and care. For people exploring the south of Tunisia (and birds or other wildlife), the location is great - supermarkets and tank stations nearby in Kebili - while the Sahara, mountains and salt lake are all within an hour drive. I cannot recommend this place enough, and when we return to Tunisia we will for sure visit Dar Barka again!"

"Very nice and kind hosts. The hotel is very new, it opened last year. Everything is very clean, rooms have AC. The place consists of a big garden full of nice plants and fruits with little guest houses. The best part was that they accommodated to our vegan diet, the food was so good. In Tunisia, finding vegetarian/vegan food is an almost impossible task. At this place, they understood what vegan means and cooked us some great food."

"Spacious houses under palm trees. The space is organized, pleasant, quiet and clean. Houses very clean, well equipped and fresh. Host is super nice and accommodating. Breakfast plentiful - the dates from the garden are delicious."
