Mellow Fields Hotel

"Das Zimmer war sauber oberflächlich sauber und wurde auch täglich gereinigt. Im Badezimmer könnte aber deutlich besser gereinigt werden — die ganzen Rillen und Ritzen am Siphon + der Abfluss und die Ecken in der Dusche bräuchten definitiv auch mal eine intensive Reinigung. Im Badezimmer hatten wir außerdem aus der Dexke kommende kleine Fliegen. Das Mobilär und die ganze Ausstattung ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bett und auch unter dem Bett war sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet hat mich und meine Frau positiv überrascht, da man hier auch als Veganer sehr viele Optionen hat. Das Personal ist nicht unfreundlich, aber auch nicht besonders freundlich — neutral. Die Lage ist super — alles was man braucht ist fussläufig erreichbar und der Bus hält direkt vor dem Hotel. Wir würden wieder kommen und das Hotel auch trotz der vorher genannten eher negativen Aspekte empfehlen."

"Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht zentral ist aber in der Nähe des Tianmu Old Trail und hat alle möglichen Einkaufs - und Essensmöglichkeiten drum herum. Das Zimmer war auf der 8. Etage und wir hatten Blick auf die Berge. Es war komfortabel, modern und hatte eine ausreichende Größe. Direkt vor dem Hotel gibt es eine Bushaltestelle mit der man relativ gut zur nächsten MRT Station kommt. Das traditionelle Frühstück lädt zum Probieren ein und hat ein großes Angebot."

"Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, dementsprechend sehr tolle Lage. Gutes Hotel für Reisende, welche sich nicht zu lange in einer Hotelanlage aufhalten. Das Mobiliar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber dennoch sauber und gepflegt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt."

"Das Hotel war sehr praktisch und komfortabel eingerichtet. Alles war da von Kühlschrank, Föhn, Waschmöglichkeit (und Tumbler). Möglichkeit, Wasserflaschen aufzufüllen… Das Frühstück war vielseitig, nur für manche unserer europäischen Familienmitglieder gab es sehr wenig Auswahl von westlichen Dingen. Wir kamen mit Kindern und 2 zweijährigen Enkeln und haben das Hotel als sehr familenfreundlich und flexibel erlebt. Da wir früher in diesem Quartier wohnten, genossen wir es, unsere Lieblingsorte und Restaurants ganz in der Nähe besuchen zu können. Es war auch einfach, per Bus zur MRT zu fahren. Wir würden jederzeit wiederr kommen."

"Nestled in Beitou, Mellowfields checks most of the boxes you would expect at a hotel. What I like most about this place is that their staff, especially their restaurant staff, provides hospitality that makes you feel so much at home. Other than that, their rooms were nice, but don't expect a 5-star hotel room here. The location of the hotel is what stands out for me. It is lcoated in such a nice, peaceful neighbourhood where the locals hike around, take walks, and sip coffee. Food options are plenty, and although it is nowhere near a train station, getting around to beitou area with a taxi or an uber is convenient too and is not too expensive."

"The rooms are definitely a little more on the older side, with no carpet and a smaller toilet, but at least they are clean and fully furbished with a fridge, kettle, tea bags and etc. Location wise, it is perfect for people looking to stay in North Taipei away from the city centre but do take note that the hotel is not near any MRT station and you'd have to take a bus to get there."

"The room was nice and large, great bathroom too. The lady and breakfast super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. It was nice to get new water and tea in the room every day. There is a grocery store right around the corner, the 24 laundry across the street and bus stop only 2 minutes away. Many restaurants in the area."

"We could not sleep for the first 5 nights since someone next to our room was either watching TV or talking very loud for many hours in the middle of the night. We mentioned it finally to the front desk and they stopped."

"The hotel rooms are very nice and modern, and the beds were extra-large. Very nice bathroom, aircon heating was appreciated with the cold weather outside. The rooms had a balcony and view over the city. There was an underground parking on the premises. The buffet breakfast was offering excellent local food, only they close a little earlier than the announced time, so they cut you short if you want anything last minute. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and we went to the Shilin Night Market from there. It is also close to the Beitou public hot springs and National Museum. It’s worth selecting this place to stay in Taipei as it is of very good quality, even if a little far from the centre."

"I personally didn't enjoy breakfast, this is not to say the food isn't good. It's just that the options are not to my taste. There are plenty of options and I'd be very happy with it if it were a dinner buffet, but for me, as a westerner, I have very different wants in the morning. That being said, I will still book here again."
