"Wir haben uns 3 Nächte in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Unser Zimmer war sauber, das Doppelbett groß und bequem, alles hat funktioniert und nachts war es sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück war vielfältig, abwechslungsreich mit gesunden Zutaten.Der junge Gastgeber Umid ist Hotelier mit Leib und Seele mit dem Willen, dass sich seine Gäste bei ihm in den 4 oder 5 Zimmern wohlfühlen , möchte Ihnen alles recht machen, soweit es möglich ist. Er gibt sich viel Mühe seinem Haus eine individuelle Note zu geben, die wir wahrgenommen haben."

"Das Nachbarhaus wird zur und auf längere Zeit neu gebaut. Ab 8.00 Uhr ist mit Baulärm zu rechnen der dann doch die angenehme Atmosphäre stört."

"We had an exceptional stay for 4 nights. The location is perfect, in a quiet alleyway 5 minutes walk from Lyabi Hauz, the focal point of town. Umin has transformed his family home into a lovely little boutique hotel. He has paid particular attention to getting all the details right, both in the decor of the place and with high quality practical matters - fast internet, back up systems for power and water etc. Breakfast is served in a charming room and was by far the best we had in Uzbekistan, cooked fresh, different every day and carefully tailored to the tastes of the individual guests. Best of all Umin speaks fluent English and is fascinating to talk to about his family history and Bukhara generally. His wife, Gulshan, also speaks fluent English as well as Japanese. It was an uplifting experience to stay with these lovely people."

"This is a small but perfectly formed hotel run by the ever-cheerful Umid and his family! The rooms are a great size, clean, big bathrooms, good air con and modern. The breakfast room is so cute, and the breakfast was delicious with the family catering for some of our awkward requirements as much as possible! The hotel is located well to see everything in Bukhara without being right in the centre where it can get a little noisy."

"My only comment would be that it’s a little hard to find and is down some side paths where there is construction. It’s totally safe and there was no noise but a taxi can’t pull up directly outside."

"I didn’t like that my room had no windows except into the courtyard. If I had looked carefully I could perhaps have worked that out before booking. As Usman is one of the most expensive hotels in Bukhara, there are a few details with the renovation that still need finishing . It would also be good to have a proper bill at check out- we were embarrassed as we understood that our driver had been paid by the hotel, but he had not been."

"Beautifully preserved family property. Retained age old feel but with modern facilities ( a/c, great shower). The breakfast room was such a beautiful space to enjoy the splendid and plentiful breakfast. Also a late night cop of tea made by Umid when I had to unexpectedly call my son. He and his wife were so kind throughout our stay and made a magical Bukhara yet more special"

"Location is great but hospitality is superb. Umid is a great host and makes you feel at home. Specially recommended for couples or solo travellers, looking for private space, no crowds or noise but yet with very good value for the money. Room was his former grandma's, beautifully renovated, impecably clean and with very comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious, generous and very diverse. I could spend hours talking to Umid, don't miss the good conversation with him. If needed, he can help you with finding local guides speaking English or other languages, in Bukhara and other Uzbek cities. This was our case and guides we got were very nice and competent."
