"The Sailboat Ragamuffin is a unique experience. You are staying in a sailboat moored off of Water Island, where your hosts live after sailing the Caribbean for 30 years. They are a font of information and anecdotes about the US virgin islands and others. Jo is an accomplished chef and strives to give you the food types you desire. They pick you up by dinghy on the Crown Marina dock, and will take you by dinghy over to Water Island. In my case, I had two berths (bedrooms and bathrooms) on the boat, rocked to sleep by the rolling of the boat on the water. Don't miss going to water island, golf cart to Limestone Beach (coral reef) and Honeymoon Beach (the latter has turtles swimming around)"

The listing didn't make it quite clear what the accommodation would be - it described an apartment and a pool view. I thought it might be a houseboat on a dock. The pool view is the sea around the boat!

"The ship was a really special place to stay, the location was perfect and it had plenty of room for all of us. Such a unique experience and we'd definitely like to come back!"

"Beautiful Location with amazing views of the mountains... away from the maddening crowd and sounds which other boat houses have and hospitality by the friendly and knowledgeable host tariq.we also experienced BBQ in a shikara at the door step. Will definitely come back again here."

"Sehr netter Gastgeber. Sehr außergewöhnlich auf einem Boot zu schlafen."

Trotz der außergewöhnlichen und guten Erfahrung muss man ein paar Punkte nennen - für die der Gastgeber jedoch nichts kann. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, wird hier kaum zu schlaf kommen. Das boot schaukelt immer wieder ganz leicht, immer wieder "schlagen" wellen ans Boot oder etwas knarzt. Es ist alles sehr hellhörig und man hört nachts viele Geräusche. Auch wird es sehr warm im Schlafzimmer des Bootes.

"Das 4-Bett-Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich eingerichtet, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse vor der Zimmertür ist in Richtung Fluss Mingė ausgerichtet und wird mit Licht durch die Morgensonne beflutet. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist einzigartig! Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis einfach Top!"

Das Bad des Zimmers ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem absolut in Ordnung!
