"I loved the cozy boat house vibe and the thoughtful staff—they even gifted a local boat tour, which made the stay fun. The location was quiet yet easy to get around, and the space was clean and comfortable."

There’s barely anything to fault, but the spot is a bit far from busy areas. It wasn’t a real issue for us, though, since we wanted a peaceful stay.

"Ideal overnight stop over for cycling in Flanders. Bart is a great host and the bar had many interesting beers. Breakfast in the morning was excellent."

The sleeping accommodation in the small boat was a bit cramped and in hot weather not very comfortable.

"Wir hatten eine unglaublich schöne Zeit auf unserer Segeltour mit Paul und Daniela. Beide haben sich wirklich viel Mühe gegeben, um unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich zu machen. Die Natur der San Blas Inseln ist atemberaubend, und das Boot war hervorragend ausgestattet, sodass wir diese unberührte Gegend äußerst komfortabel bereisen konnten. Zu zweit hatten wir an Bord mehr als genug Platz. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, und es gab stets ausreichend kalte Getränke. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass Paul und Danielle uns zu den weniger frequentierten Teilen der Inseln brachten, fernab der Tagestouristen. So hatten wir oft eine Insel ganz für uns allein. Ihr umfangreiches Wissen über die Kultur der Kuna und die Besonderheiten der Region machte den Trip zusätzlich interessant und bereichernd. Von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung, diese Tour zu buchen."

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."

Nur ein einziger Punkt wäre verbesserungswürdig. Verdunklungsrollos im Bereich der Schlafbereich würden für etwas längere Nächte sorgen :-)
