Zelt-Lodges in Haiti

"The location is excellent (10/10) and really gives off a strong camping vibe, yet it’s conveniently close to many F&B options. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable, with the bonus of having a private toilet."

Unfortunately, it rained during our stay, so the campfire had to be cancelled. However, the staff were extremely friendly and thoughtful—they provided umbrellas and floor mats to prevent rainwater from entering the room. Truly appreciated their warm hospitality and great service. Would definitely recommend this place!

Not a problem with the campsite: there is 8 km unpaved road only to this place.

"Staff was amazing. Rachel went above and beyond any call of duty to have us met from a late bus, organised a park trip and had us dropped in morrogoro. Nesto made sure we were safe in the campground. Breakfast was great, more like brunch.Highly recommend the camping but for the bravehearted...loved sitting around the campfire in the early hours of the morning, listening to the sound of silence and occasionalanimal call, watching the moon sail across the sky from the net window of the tent... the sister hotel nearby has lovely rooms, at a very reasonable rate."

WiFi! Es braucht doch in der Wüste keinen Zugriff ins Netz. Digital Detox hätte uns besser gefallen.

"My son and I spent three weeks traveling around Puerto Rico and this was a wonderful addition to our trip. I love Pitahaya's focus on sustanability and eco traveling, the exclusion of single use water bottles (BRAVO) and attention to composting and recycling. This is something rarely seen on the island and greatly needed. The mattress in the tent was very comfortable and I absolutely loved showing under the stars. A great way to camp if you are unable to bring your personal camp gear or are simply looking for a more comfortable camping experience."

The main light in our tent would only last for a few seconds. We weren't aware that it was motion activated and that made it challenging to play board games and read at night.

"Frühstück und Abendessen waren super und landestypisch. Im Zelt hat man ein eigenes Bad, Warmwasser möglich auf Anfrage, dauert ca. Eine Stunde bis es durch das Feuer dann aufgeheizt wird. Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit - wir hatten einen Kamelritt im Sonnenuntergang und eine Quadtour mit Guide organisiert bekommen."

"Vicky und Alan sind richtige Superhosts, die sich um alles gekümmert und geholfen haben sowie tolle Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten, Entertainment und Restaurants gegeben und für uns gebucht haben. Das war sehr hilfreich, da Internet auf den Cookinseln nicht immer und überall verfügbar ist."

Es ist eine Art Glamping, so dass man einen tiefen Schlaf haben sollte, da die allgegenwärtigen Hähne permanent und zu jeder Uhrzeit (insbesondere ab 4:00 Uhr morgens) krähen.

"Wir haben uns in les jardins fleuris sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Camping hat viel Liebe zum Detail und die Zelte sind sogar mit Licht und Steckdose ausgestattet. Die Jungs vom Camping empfangen einen wie Freunde und achten genau darauf, dass es allen gut geht. Die Stimmung am Lagerfeuer ist sehr schön und der klare Sternenhimmel unschlagbar."

Alles war toll!

"Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies, da das Gelände sehr naturbelassen ist. Das Essen am Mittag und am Abend war total lecker- auch vegetarisch war die Auswahl groß. Ansonsten gab es noch viele kostenlose Zusatzangebote - einen Bootsausflug, einen Kochkurs, Bogenschießen, etc."

Die Auflagen am Pool (gab insgesamt nur drei Liegen) waren teilweise mit Moos bedeckt und etwas eklig. Auch unsere Stühle auf der Verenanda waren voll mit Hundehaaren.

"Sensationelle Terrasse in den Baumwipfeln in einem permanenten Zelt, besonders der Freisitz mit dem Braai hatte es uns angetan."

"Wenn man diese Art von Quartier mag, dann volle 10 Punkte! Ein uriges Anwesen nur 20 m vom Meer entfernt in der zweiten Reihe, liebevoll gestaltet. Viele Pflanzen und Blüten, die Anlage ist um 2 offene Höfe angeordnet. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit den 3 Hängematten. Daran musste ich mich erst gewöhnen, aber genau aus Neugier darauf hatten wir ja alles gebucht. Statt Klimaanlage (was bei der offenen Konstruktion ja keinen Sinn macht), gab es ausreichend Ventilatoren. Die Wirtsleute legen wert auf gewisse (nachvollziehbare) Regeln, waren aber dabei super entspannt, hilfsbereit, gaben Tipps und Empfehlungen. Wer hier übernachtet, sollte aber keine Angst vor der Begegnung mit Krabben oder kleinen harmlosen Echsen haben. Stromanschluss, Wifi, moderne Hängematten, alles wirkte durchdacht. Am Abreisetag durften wir unsere Sachen unbürkratisch bis zur Abfahrt der Fähre einlagern, nochmal duschen ..."

dass wir nur 2 Tage gebucht hatten ;-) und man muss außerhalb der Hängematten mit Mücken klarkommen ...

"Die Zelte sind rießig und für Familie gut ausgelegt, diese liegen etwas abseits von der Rezeption entfernt. 2 geräumige Pools mit Service, täglich wechselndes gutes Buffet."

Hierfür kann die Unterkunft nichts, aber dennoch gut zu wissen, die Straßenverhältnisse zur Unterkunft sind ausbaufähig. Plant für die Anfahrt mehr Zeit ein.

"Die Lage war super. Die Inhaber waren total nett und ich durfte am Tag des Check-out sogar bis zum Nachmittag im "Zelt" bleiben, da ich noch warten musste, bis der Rest der Truppe mit dem Marsch fertig war. Die Veranda ist echt niedlich und in der Küche ist alles, was man braucht. Das Badezimmer ist komplett ausgestattet und alles in allem ist die Unterkunft sehr sauber."

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln.

"New, comfortable room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Shared fully equipped kitchen. Good internet. Quiet in a safe district. 15 min in the bus number 10 or 12 to the city center. Alice, the owner who lives there, is very nice and helpful. She booked a taxi for us and woke up at 5.30a.m. to be sure that the taxi arrived. Excellent quality for a good price."

It is number 1 on the intercom when you arrive there. it is not written Conforto.
