"Odile our host was amazing, her help and knowledge about getting around on the trains and suggestions of where to visit were amazing. Chantilly Castle was a highlight recommendation. She was so helpful, friendly and spoke fluent English. It was like staying with a friend."

"Well furnished and renovated apartment in a small complex of houses. Playground for the kids, a place to park the car and even a table to eat outside just in front of the house if the weather allows it. The owner was a very kind lady. The village itself is very quiet, but has a Carefour, Pharmacy, restaurant/bar and big kids playground. Hope to visit again for more time!"

"The wifi probably needs a booster plug in the accommodation. We hoped it was a glitch on the first visit but we also struggled to get connection on the second. Not an issue for a couple of overnights but it would irritate on a longer stay."

"Angefangen beim außerordentlich netten Kontakt mit Denis, dem unkomplizierten Zugang zum Schlüssel und der tollen Lage kann ich die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen. Es ist alles da, was man benötigt, es gibt einen Parkplatz direkt am Haus, es ist sehr ruhig (wie es zur Saison ist, weiß ich nicht), man hört das Meer wunderbar rauschen. Fußläufig gibt es einen Bäcker, man ist aber auch schnell in der Stadt selbst. Im Sommer profitiert man davon, dass die Terrasse sonnengeschützt ist; wir haben die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage genutzt, wenn es nachts zu kalt war. Wir werden wieder kommen!"

"La Petite Fontaine is a lovely gite for two, although it looks very small from the outside photos it really is quite spacious inside with a big bathroom upstairs. The charming owners stayed up until past 10pm to welcome us as we were running late and they were mines of information about the local attractions. Being in a tiny rural hamlet it is very quiet and there are several countryside walks that can be started from the front door. The location is good being right on the Charente/Dordogne border and the little town of Montbron is just a 20minute walk away or 4 minutes by car for little shops and eateries. Montbron also has a well-stocked Intermarché hypermarket with a petrol station and car charging points. The towns of Brantôme en Perigord (in the Perigord/Limousin national park) and Jarnac (in the beautiful Cognac region) are worthy of note within an hour's drive."

"Very very impressed with this guesthouse. The host has clearly perfected the art of catering for pilgrims on a budget. The kitchen is well equipped and each room has an allocated fridge and pantry space. There was a range of maps and guides left from previous pilgrims. There are 6 rooms, and 2 were occupied during my stay. Thanks for a great stay, please continue offering this wonderful service for pilgrims at a low price! Merci"

"The house has three bedrooms, and the owner lives in another house. The room is beautifully furnished and tidy. We used the kitchen to make dinner. The owner was very welcoming and prepared breakfast every morning. The homemade jam was delicious, and the bread was fresh. The car was securely parked in the enclosed yard. There were also a few adorable lambs in the backyard. our family went to zoo park and villandry castle and Château de Chenonceau and Tours."

"Für die Besichtigung der grandiosen Kathedrale war das Apartment sehr günstig gelegen,und such zum Bahnhof ist es nur ein va 8- minütiger Fussweg. Und ein großer Vorteil ist die absolute Ruhe nachts!Sehr hübsch auch der kleine Innenhof! Es ist ein kleines Zimmer,ideal für 1 Person-nicht wirklich hübsch,aber sehr funktionell gestaltet.Es ist alles da,was man braucht.Auch das Kochen hat problemlos funktioniert!Das Badezimmer ist winzig,aber auch hier ist alles da! Herzlichen Dank!"
