"Our group of 20 had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stellas in Ziemupe. The holiday home exceeded our expectations, with 10 spacious bedrooms that perfectly accommodated each couple. The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition, and having a private beach just 400 meters away was a dream! We spent a beautiful day and night enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching a stunning sunset by the sea. The two kitchens, one large and one smaller, made meal preparations easy and seamless for our group. The host was incredibly responsive, ensuring our check-in was smooth and that we had everything we needed. The thoughtful amenities provided made our weekend stay feel effortless and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or experience! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with a large group."

"An der Straße hängt die Hausnummer in großen Lettern, so dass wir es leicht finden konnten. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Gastgeberin spricht Deutsch. Sie hat uns noch einen Tipp gegeben, wo wir abends nach unserer Ankunft Essen gehen konnten. Die Küche haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir nur eine Nacht auf der Reise durch Bosnien Herzegowina verbracht haben. Die Wohnung war warm und wir haben gut geschlafen in der ruhigen Umgebung."

Not too clean (still very acceptable and I would return). Single bed (would loved to have 2 separate beds). Air conditioner is fairly weak.

No filters for the coffee maker. The streets are in bad shape once you drop off the Main Street to get to the house.

Man stellt sich selbst vor Ort in wenigen Minuten die Zimmerkarte aus und wirft diese bei Abreise wieder zurück in die Abgabebox."

"Wir waren in dieser Unterkunft 3 Wochen und haben jeden Tag genossen. Das Personal war super freundlich und erfüllte uns jeden umsetzbaren Wunsch. Die Anlage wurde täglich gereinigt und kleine Mängel sofort behoben. Wer hier Urlaub macht, sollte unbedingt einen Mietwagen buchen, da Supermärkte und sonstige Infrastruktur etwas entfernt zu finden sind. Mit Mietwagen konnten wir umfangreiche und sehr schöne Tages- und Mehrtagesausflüge unternehmen. Der kompetente Anlagen Manager Maurice gibt wertvolle Ausflugs- und Einkaufsinformationen."

"Am besten gefiel mit die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Vermieterin Claudia. Als ich nach dem langen und reichlich verspäteten Flug bei Nacht und starkem Regen sehr müde bei ihr ankam, brachte sie mir heißen Tee und Kekse, am nächstem Morgen frisches Obst, obwohl ich kein Frühstück gebucht hatte, und sie gab mir viele Informationen, wie bzw. welche Strecken ich mit dem Mietwagen fahren könnte, was sehenswert sei und fuhr mir sogar bis Marigot mit ihrem Wagen voraus. Danke, Claudia!"

"Die Lage ist ideal - fünf Gehminuten zum Zentrum, dennoch ruhig. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber; einfaches, aber leckeres Frühstück. Die Empfehlung zum Nachtessen war ein Volltreffeer, allerdings ohne Alkohol-Ausschank. Ansprechende, saubere Zimmer, Dusche und WC-zur gemeinsamen Benutzung. Gutes WLAN."

Ein Paravent als Windschutz auf der grossenTerrasse wäre ideal - am Abend war es ungemütlich, sodass wir uns im Erdgeschoss unter den Balkonen aufgehalten haben.

No communal areas. The kitchen was tiny and no where sit and eat. There is a small space in the top floor to make a cup of tea but not suitable to eat and not near the kitchen. The shared bathroom shower is too complicated, the water sprays out of all the taps and was cold

"Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

Some issues booking a taxi at reception during Zomba festival (bit too far to walk to main events)

"Very nice host, trying to accommodate all my requests. Very authentic stay close to the volcano. The volcano and the red glow are visible from the hut."

As all activities and transport are organized by the host, I sometimes had to wait quite long time for the driver to arrive. This was not the hosts fault, but it is important to know when planning a trip to Tanna.

"This place is a real gem for bidget travelers! The apartment was renovated and clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the security is very high and the personnel was also super amicable!!🤍🤍🤍 It's quiet and is situated in a safe area - you can walk alone even at night there. The rooms are quite spacious and have enough sockets and furniture. There are a couple of stores around and even a local eatery with tasty food. The owner was ready to help with any questions and was super friendly too. Totally recommended!! 🫶🏼💕"

"Super schöne Lage am Strand, an dem wir auch prompt Schildkröten gesehen haben; äußerst nettes Personal, schönes Zimmer, dem allerdings die Fliegengitter am großen Fenster fehlen. Nettes kleines Frühstücksbuffet, man kann auf der Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer frühstücken."

Leider muss man in der Nacht die Vorhänge geschlossen halten, weil sonst jeder von außen ins Zimmer schauen kann. So kann man nicht bei offenem Fenster schlafen und das Meeresrauschen genießen. Das gilt allerdings naturgemäß nur für die Erdgeschoss-Zimmer.
