There were cockroaches and termites in the villa which was not nice.

Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten und der schöne Garten, in dem man gemütlich frühstücken konnte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab auch die Möglichkeit dass für uns traditionelles Essen gekocht wird, was sehr lecker war, und unsere Wäsche gewaschen wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich und freuen uns, nochmal wieder zu kommen :)"

Parken ging direkt vor dem Haus und nachts war es schön ruhig, so dass wir gut schlafen konnten. Check in und Check out war sehr einfach im Café direkt gegenüber. Ich würde die Unterkunft auch ein 2. Mal buchen."

I sometimes had trouble sleeping because of the noise outside - but there is not much one could do about that!

"The location was excellent, its best suited for families and those who want to spend time in solitude a little away from hustle and bustle of main road. House is well equipped with ameneties. Be prepared with your own stuff and its like living in your own home."

Nothing But a word of caution the road to house comes down from main Abbottabad road for 6 minutes through some steep slopes, tight turns and a beautiful forest. In the Morning its amazing, at night chance of getting panicked. Dont panick! Just make sure your car has good engine, tyres and breaks.

"We had an amazing stay at Escapes Residence in Cape Maclear. The breathtaking views, modern amenities, and exceptional staff exceeded our expectations. Even though the host was not physically present, his constant online communication ensured everything ran smoothly. A truly stunning experience. We absolutely loved it!"

"My room had everything one could desire for self-reliance. Nice folks who bent over backwards to accommodate my every wish. I couldn't have been more pleased. From the outside, the place looked simple, but the room itself was actually nicer and better equipped than the Sheraton in Brussels or the King Fajd Palace in Dakar which I had stayed in en route."

The street was a block in from the main road which was quiet and nice in the daytime but too dark to walk at night alone as a single lady.

"Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Jag har inte något som jag inte tyckte om. Möjligen att du måste ha tillgång till egen transport om du enkelt ska ta dig till och från boendet.

We would definitely stay again and would love to give a 10/10 marking. To do this going forward we would not want to encounter any issues with those noted below. Plus one suggestion would be for wood/pellets for the fires to be offered at an additional cost."

*On arrival only one clear entry to the property. The side garden by the parking space needed a clear pathway of the snow and the steps up from the front garden needed a build up of mud clearing off to level them and again a clear pathway of snow leading from the end of the Princessa Park pathway that led to the garden. *We had an issue with some of the bed pillows having seen better days, however one little message to the owner and they were replaced with new ones. *NO WASHING MACHINE as advertised. This created an issue as two guests brought limited clothing with intentions of washing their clothes on holiday. *No toilet brushes - really unpleasant if the toilet bowl needed cleaning.

Alles in allem eine absolute Empfehlung.John, unser Hausherr ist super nett und war immer um uns bemüht. Ein Willkommenspaket an Essen war bei unserer Ankunft bereits da, sodass wir nicht gleich einkaufen mussten. Vielen Dank John, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen."

"Frühchtück macht man selber Wenn man will gibt die Möglichkeit dafür. Die Lage gefällt mir am besten, da man ganz schnell sowohl in die Stadt, als auch andere wichtige Orte wie, Entebbe Flug Hafen, Bunga, Munyonyo, Buziga, Strand, Ntinda usw. Immer wieder"

"Das Haus ist sehr groß, geräumig und sauber. Die Gastgeber sind sehr, sehr freundlich. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer und wir konnten die Küche benutzen. Die Terrasse ist auch wirklich hübsch. Man ist schnell in Victoria, auch zu Fuß, und die Basilika St. Johannes der Täufer ist gleich um die Ecke. Dort kann man zum Kaffeetrinken oder Abendessen sehr schön verweilen."

Die Klimaanlage funktioniert nur, wenn man Münzen einwirft. Da wir darauf nicht vorbereitet waren, mussten wir in der ersten Nacht mit geöffnetem Fenster schlafen und es war sehr laut. Danach hat es mit Münzen aber sehr gut funktioniert - man kommt mit 1-2€ über die ganze Nacht.

Die Jurna Recreation Farm lädt wirklich zur Erholung ein. Sie ist recht weitläufig und mit vielen Obstbäumen bestanden, von deren Früchten uns der Herbergsvater gerne angeboten hat. Am frühen Morgen über den taubedeckten Rasen der Farm zu schlendern und die aufgehende Sonne zu beobachten war spitze. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das liebevoll zubereitete Frühstück. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"Großes Haus, zentral auf der insel gelegen, alle Strände in. 10min zu Fuß erreichbar."

Klimaanlage in einem Zimmer immer wieder ausgefallen, ein Badezimmer nicht benutzbar (wasserhahn kaputt, Türe zerstört, WC Brille kaputt. Ein Bett unbrauchbar, da der Lattenrost komplett durchgebrochen war.

Die Betten waren bequem. Um uns herum Wald, Wald, Wald. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen."

"Joan and Paul were great hosts! Very lovely and provided solutions to some of the issues with facilities. The space is beautiful, it’s quiet and they have two beautiful dogs who we loved spending time with."

Some issues with power on first day then on-going with water & wifi connection - apart from this, it was a good 5 days.

"Nous avons apprécier tout d'abord la beauté de la maison où il y tout le confort qu'on puisse avoir besoin. Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, dépaysement complet. C'est un havre de paix. On s'y sent vraiment bien et comme chez nous. L'hôte de la maison est vraiment sympathique et prodigue de bons conseils. Superbe séjour."

Nous n'avons vraiment rien à redire sur la maison tant tout y est superbement agencé et ou tout est à notre disposition pour que le séjour se passe superbement bien. Nous n'avons vu aucun points négatifs à cette location.

Das Resort hat mit dem Strom zu kämpfen. Oftmals ist die Klimaanlage ausgegangen, da die Stromversorgung nur schubweise in den Unterkünften ankommt. Das Restaurant und die Wassersportangebote sind geschlossen.

Die Räume im Erdgeschoss waren nicht richtig warm zu bekommen. Das Duschwasser reichte nicht für alle warm zu duschen.
