Privatzimmer in Gabun

"That’s amazing studio flat in a very nice hotel. It is sad that is sharing apartment, but you don’t share anything. You have your private bathroom, washing machine, private kitchen, private balcony, the only thing you share is one door to get to your flat. There are food shops and restaurants all around. Tram and bus stops very close. Metro station is about 1 km away, but you can take tram to get there, it takes two stops. Apartment was clean, nice clean white sheets, clean good towel, shampoo and hair conditioner. Security downstairs so you feel absolutely safe. Location is good for taking a walk by the marina to see yachts and a wonderful view to all buildings around. Wi-fi was good."

There is nothing in the kitchen, no spoons, no forks, no cups, no plates, absolutely empty. I had to buy a cup just to make coffee. Had to wait host for 1,5 hour. The main things to see are far away from the property, you need to take metro and ride 10-15 stops to see burj khalifa, the frame, future museum and ect. At least it’s one line. There was bad smell in the kitchen (can’t understand where it was coming from) had to keep balcony’s door open all the time. Very noisy street outside, cars and trams traffic all the time.

The kitchen was not equipped very well. It is sufficient only for short stays. So if you stay for two or three nights it is OK - otherwise you will not be able to prepare decent meals there.

"Hosts were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Silvio gave me a ride back to airport when I arrived and needed to pick up my partner (we traveled separately there). The house and the room were nice and clean, huge fridge and well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Netflix with guest account in the room was a nice extra. Big terrace with sunbeds. The location itself was lovely, locals were friendly and helpful as well. Airport is very close, 40 mins walk or 6 mins with the car."

I know it's not the hosts fault, because there was an issue with the pool due the construction works in the neighborhood the time we're staying there and we couldn't use it. Would have been nice, because the pool itself is pretty big.

"Legendär. Direkt am Strand, sehr ruhig, sehr schön gestaltet. Supernette Leute. Wenn dort ein Bett frei ist -> unbedingt buchen! Wer allerdings Luxus-Komfort erwartet, ist hier falsch... Hier liegt der Fokus darauf, durch die Einfachheit mal zu entspannen und runterzukommen."

Hier war alles super.

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Beautiful house and garden. Lot of trees. Nice pool. Room was comfortable. Back up generator for powercuts was great. Quiet area, close to the sea. Nice owner."

When arrive, bed sheets were used. We needed to change them ourselves. No cleaning servise. The mainhouse kitchen was only allowed for small cooking like eggs. If wanted to cook food, needed to go outside kitchen. There was no fan or pots, all needed to take there from main kitchen. Very unconvinient and hot to cook there. We were accused from staff and other customer stealing her mobile. Phone was found in her room where she had put it under her blanket. That really upset us. Owners were nice thou and apologize us.

"The property has a very good location, you can ski to the center and to the foot of the mountain. It is very clean and spacious, we booked two apartments and we are very satisfied with them. Wifi is okay, it works nicely. There’s parking and kitchen and two bathrooms and a toilet in those two apartments."

The owner was with us at the house, and he wanted to help us with the snow around our cars, but we didn’t always feel comfortable around him. He was cheerful and kind man sometimes, but sometimes he made unnecessary comments which were not needed in this type of situation since we are the guests there.

Camerele sunt foarte mici ,de abia ai loc sa te miști. Aerul condiționat nu prea exista, este un fel de ventilator care nu face fata absolut deloc.

"Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und extrem bemüht. Sie helfen einem bei allem - selbst bei gesundheitlichen Problemen. Die Zimmer sind tiptop sauber und alles schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war super und reichhaltig."

Die Lage ist etwas abseits, aber das weiß man ja beim Buchen. Krähende Hähne sollte man aushalten können.

"Die Lage, Sauberkeit, Komfort. Es gab in der Küche Wasserspender, Wasserkocher, Herd und Öl, Salz und Zucker."

"Das Ehepaar, welches auch die sehr gepflegte Mekong Eco Lodge in 200m Entfernung betreibt ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns haben sie den Privattransport in den Cat Tien NP organisiert. Auch das Frühstück und Abendbuffet in der Mekong Lodge war sehr fein."

Der Fokus scheint auf der Mekong Lodge zu liegen und die Umgebung ist viel weniger gepflegt.

"Unsere Vermieterin war wirklich supernett, die Wohnung hatte alles an Ausstattung was man für einen Urlaub braucht. Die Wohnung war absolut sauber und gepflegt. Es ist zentral gelegen mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurant in der Nähe. Vielen lieben Dank. Jederzeit gerne zur."

"Das Catogardården überzeugt mit Cozyness und Liebe zum Detail - sowohl im Zimmer als auch in den Gemeinschaftsräumen. Tee und Kaffee zur freien Verfügung ist in Norwegen auch keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Auch wenn man sich Bäder und Toiletten mit anderen Gästen teilt, hat auf mich alles einen sehr sauberen und aufgeräumten Eindruck hinterlassen. Musikinstrumente, Brettspiele und ein kleiner Shop, Yoga-Kurse, Sauna und Whirlpool runden die „User-Experience“ ab: hier kann man definitiv auch bei schlechtem Wetter eine schöne Zeit verbringen. Vielen Dank auch nochmal an Joanna, die mir meine im Zimmer vergessene Kleidung sicher verpackt nach Deutschland nachgeschickt hat."

"Chez Fabien on n'a pas l'impression d'être des locataires, mais des amis accueillis à bas ouverts. Fabien veille à tout, à la propreté, au bien être. Il conseille sur les promenades à faire, sur les choses à faire et à voir."

Tout était vraiment parfait. Si nous devons repartir en Guyane nous savons où aller.

Some noise from other guests at night did affect the stay a little. Still, overall a pleasant experience...

"Der Taxifahrer meinte die Straße gibt es nicht. Aber dann rief das Hotel zurück. Es kam extra jemand am Abend, um aufzuschließen und mir den Weg zum nahen Supermarkt zu zeigen. Morgens gab es ein gutes Frühstück. Der Weg zur Botschaft von Guinea-Bissau war nicht weit."

Trotz abweichender Angabe war nur Barzahlung möglich, wobei außerdem ein nicht so guter Wechselkurs für die Berechnung genutzt wurde.

"The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.
