"Der Taxifahrer meinte die Straße gibt es nicht. Aber dann rief das Hotel zurück. Es kam extra jemand am Abend, um aufzuschließen und mir den Weg zum nahen Supermarkt zu zeigen. Morgens gab es ein gutes Frühstück. Der Weg zur Botschaft von Guinea-Bissau war nicht weit."

die Unterkunft ist nur schwer zu erreichen. Man ist auf teure Taxis angewiesen.

"Von der Haupstrasse geht eine Naturstrasse zur Unterkunft, welche kein Schild hat. Netter Empfang von Monica und ihren zwei kleinen Kindern. Ich hatte ein einfaches drei Bett Zimmer ohne Mosquitonetz. Könnte mir nicht vorstellen zu zweit/dritt dort zu sein, viel zu eng/klein. Ich bekam einen Kübel um meine Wäsche zu waschen und konnte sie draussen aufhängen. Super köstliches, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Gutes Abendessen. Im nahen Gorilla Sip Garten Restaurant gibt's guten Kaffee und Kuchen."

Nach dem Duschen ist das kleine Bad/WC nass. Unbedingt Aufhängehacken und Regal anbringen. Keine Mosquitonetze. Man kriegt keinen Schlüssel für das Tor, muss lange klopfen bis jemand öffnet.

"Malaki and his family were great hosts! Very helpful and friendly. Sorted out lots of things for us with no fuss, even though we booked last minute and had limited planning. We had some good laughs! Good view of volcano, and hear the rumbling! Simple and authentic ni-Van accommodation."

Malaki still had a few things to finish... eg switching for solar lights and some plumbing... but we were 2nd guests, so it will be more complete for next guests

"Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig in einer Wohnsiedlung. Das Zimmer war mit einem Moskitonetz und Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und alle Räumlichkeiten waren sauber. Balkon, Garten… alles perfekt Bei Fragen stand Marie-Pierre immer zur Verfügung. Ich würde hier wieder übernachten! Ich hatte kein Auto, zu Fuß sind es längere Wege, z.B. zum Einkaufen."

Die Strassen befinden sich im Wiederaufbau und sind in einem furchtbaren Zustand, so muss man viel mehr Zeit einplanen. Weil es nur langsam und in Schlangenlinien zu befahren ist.

"Если исходить, что это буджетный вариант и не ожидать от него условий отеля 4-5*, то это отличный вариант: в любое время заселят, в любое время можно уехать, в любое время встретят/ проводят из аэропорта, рядом с аэропортом, приятные хозяева, интернет. Останавливался на две по полночи, получилось идеально: прилетел/помылся/поспал/посмотрел город/помылся/поспал/улетел."

Als ik persé iets zou moeten noemen, is het het ontbreken van een kraan en wasbak in het keukenblok. Creatief met afwassen, door vullen van de aanwezige teil met de waterkoker, die je in de badkamer met een kommetje moet vullen, omdat hij niet onder de kraan past 😁 Maar goed, ik vond het zelf gewoon prima zo.

"Hosts were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Silvio gave me a ride back to airport when I arrived and needed to pick up my partner (we traveled separately there). The house and the room were nice and clean, huge fridge and well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Netflix with guest account in the room was a nice extra. Big terrace with sunbeds. The location itself was lovely, locals were friendly and helpful as well. Airport is very close, 40 mins walk or 6 mins with the car."

I know it's not the hosts fault, because there was an issue with the pool due the construction works in the neighborhood the time we're staying there and we couldn't use it. Would have been nice, because the pool itself is pretty big.

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

"Die Pension ist sehr sauber und in der Stadtnähe. Der Eigentümer ist ein sehr freundlicher alter Mann und das check in war sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer sind groß und Betten sehr gemütlich. Parkplätze vor der Türe sind vorhanden. Für eine Übernachtung war es sehr angenehm."

Man muss das Bad und WC mit 2 anderen Zimmern teilen. Es ist keine Klimaanlage vorhanden sondern nur ein Ventilator.

"🇱🇰🥰 Guesthouse mit sauberem Zimmer und tollem Frühstück bei einer sehr netten Familie. Bindu hat sich super um alles gekümmert und uns zum Tempel in Buduruwagalla gefahren und dort auf uns gewartet. Im Garten der Familie wohnt Martin, mit dem wir uns stundenlang unterhalten haben. Vielen Dank, gerne wieder."

"The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.
