"Sehr schön nah am Zentrum + Markt. Sehr freundliches Personal, einige sprechen auch Englisch. Wir konnten auch unser Gepäck nach Check Out noch da lassen und später abholen. Die Räume sind sehr neu und schön eingerichtet. Nebenan gibt es ein nettes Restaurant das zum Hotel gehört."

"Das WLAN ist oft ausgefallen und allgemein ist das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Aber trotzdem zu empfehlen, wenn man preiswert und trotzdem nett übernachten möchte."

"The room was more spacious than we expected and very clean, with a comfortable bed, and a sofa space. The shower has very good pressure and hot. The hotel were able to accommodate a check in at 4am which was really appreciated. There is a lovely cafe downstairs which does a good afforable breakfast. This is excellent value for money and I would stay again"

"It would be nice to have a kettle in the room, and a lamp by the bed, but that's all"

"I get carsick very easily, so the 10–20 hour Cotisse rides were really tough for me. But I was able to get plenty of rest and regain my energy at La Lanterne. I’m grateful to Eleine and the rest of the staff for that."

"I am so grateful for Eliene at the reception. She helped me buy my Cotisse ticket and booked a taxi for me so I could safely get to the Cotisse transport in the dark early morning. She was always smiling and kindly answered all of my questions. ​The room was simple but tidy and clean. There is a traditional market nearby, where I bought tomatoes and ate local food. It is a great place for travelers to stay. The hotel is located on a hill, but it was no problem for me."

"Eliene was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Thanks to her support, I was able to take the taxi-brousse to Morondava. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. There are a few small shops nearby where you can easily buy food and drinks, and the town center is also within walking distance. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and would happily stay here again. I can truly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tana!"

"There was a brief power outage at night, but it was resolved within a few minutes. Also, there are only a few restaurants within a short walking distance."

"The street was a lively street with lots of little shops and a couple of small restaurants. It didn't feel very safe at night as was dark but I think most of Tanna is the same. The girls on the desk were very smiley and helped get me taxis every time I needed one. It's only 10 minutes walk from the centre, the supermarket, the main market and the very nice restored railway station with its cafe. It is up a hill so if you have mobility problems you should get taxis."

"Noisy dogs in the morning and many power cuts but unless you spend a lot of money that is probably the same in all of Tanna. A kettle would have been nice and better wifi"

"The bed was quite comfortable. The fan was really nice and worked all night. Curtains were really dark. Plenty of space and areas to hang things. Location is excellent for central Tana."

"There were a couple of roaches (but it is relatively common in Madagascar). Thin walls meant we could hear the next room TV fairly easily (at 4am)!"
