Resorts in Ruanda

"Breakfast was excellent, staff was friendly, pools and sea possibility was truly excellent. Very big and safe place to be. Security was in very good level. Lovely site."

Only couple of persons spoke english. Several restaurants in hotel, but you could only book online with one. When you come to hotel everything is in spanish, luckily I had colleague who could speak spanish so he was able to translate how to book breakfast, lunches and dinners etc.

Frühstücksbuffet war insgesamt gut, aber entsprach nicht in Erwartungen an ein Fünf Sterne Haus.

"I had never been to an all inclusive resort before and was sceptical and personally probably will never do it again but nothing to do with the Bareclo, simply my preference but the resort was totally amazing considering the price. I had one of the bungalows which has large vey well decorated and very comfortable likewise the bathroom. Considering the size of the resort the WiFi was excellent . I never used the pool which was huge but instead the beach and swam several times The beach is stunning and spotlessly clean as to the gardens they are stunning and so well kept. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially so the ones in the dining room I have never seen such a volume of food being served ( and consumed !) in such vast qualities and the staff there in my view were so patient considering what they were dealing with! Overall I cannot fault the resort in any major way you get amazing value for money … congratulations to Barcelo"

The checking in process is very unwieldy on arrival I joined a queue of at least 50 people I got there in the early afternoon and they simply would not let anyone in to their room before 3 pm And surely some of rooms were really and why allow check ins as was available . This is not the first time I have come across this attitude The resort is large and at first it was difficult to find your bungalow as it’s not overly well signposted The was an entertainment lady around the pool screaming down a microphone … why is that necessary ? Overall it was a great stay Well done Barcelo

Verständigung in Englisch ist manchmal nicht so einfach, aber mit der Übersetzung per Smartphone klappt es dann.

A little tired in places - could do with a bit of a spruce up such as a lick of paint on all the walls, new carpets in the common areas (stairs) etc. Seemed to be a lot of staff but not a lot of guests (although the staff were lovely).

Es ist ein langer Weg vom Parkplatz bis zum Zimmer wenn man einige Gepäckstücke zu tragen hat

schlechtes Wifi/Internet, Personal unternimmt leider nichts gegen stundenlang reservierte Liegen, teure Hotel-Massagen.

"Die Lage am Crocodile River mit Blick auf den Krüger Nationalpark ist unbeschreiblich. Das sehr aufmerksame Personal und die Halbpension war sehr angenehm. Für einen nächsten Besuch in der Region würden wir wieder hier buchen."

Das Bad und einige Möbelstücke schienen etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Wir mussten ziemlich viel zahlen, um vor 14:00 Uhr in das Hotel zu kommen.

..das Zimmer war aufgrund des direkt danebenliegenden Ventilationsschachtes relativ laut

Die Hotelleiteung müsste sich mehr Mühe geben mit den Gästen in Kontakt

"The beachfront location. Hotel staff are all very nice."

Restaurant waiters are useless, slow, just talking to each other. . Even if you are a guest at hotel they want you to pay for the huts. Hotel guests should get at least a free hour daily. There is no real beach seating for hotel guests to relax.

"Schöne Location um Sonnenuntergänge zu sehen. Die Outdoor Badezimmer scheinen relativ neu renoviert worden zu sein und die Früchteplatte mit Milch und Saft ist sehr lecker. Personal war sehr freundlich und die elektro Autos die man buchen kann, sind sehr praktisch!"

Da es viele offene Stellen im Bungalow hat, war es mit persönlich morgens zum schlafen zu hell. Das ist aber Motzen auf hohem Niveau.

"Die Insel / Anlage ist ein Traum. Von der Begrüßung mit Trommeln und Cocosnus bis zum Abschied einfach traumhaft. Simah und sein Team haben uns bei jedem Anliegen geholfen, sogar Kleinigkeiten die uns fehlten (Spitzer für meine Frau und ihrem MakeUp) bishin nach der Abreise mit organisiertem persönlichem Guide."

"Well maintained, super friendly and helpful staff. Room was always well stocked with towels and cleaned. Nicola does a great job by the pool keeping everyone happy with towels, food and drinks. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the bartender was always smiling and talkative. D Richard’s steakhouse was great - Steak Diane and Filet were both excellent. Sol de Mar had good Mediterranean style food with a relaxed atmosphere. My husband and I ate here on a few occasions- pasta with lobster, veal scallopini both great choices. Close location to a number of off property restaurants that are excellent."

The pads on the loungers are very old, worn thin and extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Chef’s Table wasn’t good- we ate only one dinner there and the lobster cake and fish were dried out. The pasta dish with Shrimp had the full shell on the shrimp still making eating very messy. Lobster Fest on the beach was disappointing. The lobster was dried out as it had been sitting under lamps for some time. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to finally get a table after speaking with the manager in charge. Very unorganized.

"The hotel was exceptional from arriving to leaving. The little touches make it extra special like free mini bar, little gifts in your room every evening, water hampers on the beach. The beach is amazing, all rooms have perfect views. Staff are very attentive. Breakfast has the best choices, one of the best I have had. Michelin star restaurant is fabulous would definitely recommend."

The food was somewhat repetitive and sometimes bland.

TV Sender waren sehr limitiert

"Das außerordentlich bemühte und freundliche Personal, unser Concierge Kaviesh, housekeeping Sheila und die gesamte Gästebetreuung. Es war ein perfekter Platz zum Wohlfühlen und Genießen! Der Strand, der Nirvana Pool, die ausgezeichneten Restaurants, wir haben vor allem das Waves geliebt! Danke!"

Das einzige was wir uns gewünscht hätten, wäre ein Platz für Eiswürfel für das Zimmer zum Selbstholen. Das war leider über die Bar oder Bestellung eher mühsam. Bargeld ist auf jeden Fall auch sinnvoll, da das Flughafentaxi bar zu bezahlen ist.

Die Küche . In der Küche ist der Manager unfreundlich und dreist , wir müssten für ein Frühstück zahlen das wir garnicht in Anspruch genommen haben 46$ zahlen , dies war für mich eine abzocke . Es kam zwar Stunden später der Manager vom Hotel selbst aber es gab nur leere Versprechungen, die 46$ wurden nicht Zurückerstattet.

Only the lack of internet. There are no connexion even with data. So it can be frustrating when connexion is needed (to check flight for exemple)
