Not really suitable without a car, it’s quite a steep walk up from Camp’s Bay and then have to walk through the basement car park to access the apartments. I found it quite expensive just for a studio compared to other accommodation I have used but Camps Bay is a more expensive area.

Marnas Guesthouse ist eine Gemeinschaftsunterkunft. Es war sehr sauber und hat wunderbar funktioniert. Die Gastgeberin Marna ist sehr freundlich und hat sich sehr gut gekümmert. "A fantastic experience! The guesthouse is in a great location in the heart of Brazzaville, surrounded by quiet residential areas. Most importantly, the rooms were very clean. Special mention goes to the owners, Mia and her family, who were incredibly helpful and patient during our stay, even assisting us with arranging gorilla and Blue Lagoon tours. An even bigger surprise was the authentic Sichuan cuisine at the guesthouse – the best I've had in Brazzaville! I highly recommend the grilled fish and hot pot."

Das Personal war durchgehend freundlich, hilfsbereit und professionell. Auch mein später Check-in verlief absolut reibungslos und gut organisiert, was ich sehr geschätzt habe. Die Lage ist ruhig und praktisch. Für Fahrten ins Stadtzentrum empfiehlt es sich, bequem ein Uber zu nutzen – das funktioniert in Doha schnell, zuverlässig und ist preislich sehr fair. So erreicht man alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten unkompliziert. Insgesamt eine solide und empfehlenswerte Wahl für einen Kurztrip nach Doha, insbesondere für Reisende, die Wert auf Komfort und ein starkes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis legen."

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt im Al Liwan Suites angenehm. Kleinere Verbesserungspunkte betreffen die etwas in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung in einzelnen Bereichen sowie die Lage, da man für die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten ein Transportmittel benötigt. Ohne Uber oder Taxi ist man weniger flexibel, da sich das Hotel nicht direkt im Stadtzentrum befindet. Zudem könnte die Ausstattung in manchen Zimmerdetails moderner gestaltet sein. Dies sind jedoch eher kleinere Punkte und haben den positiven Gesamteindruck nicht wesentlich beeinträchtigt.

"Das Hotel bietet verschiedene Unterkünfte an. Unser Apartement Alp lag in einem modernen Haus und war sehr grosszügig. 2 Zimmer mit kleiner funktionaler Küche. Der Frühstücksraum liegt im alten Teil des Hotels und ist optisch nicht so ansprechend. Das Frühstück selber ist vielfältig. Die Lage mitten im Ort ist perfekt und trotzdem ruhig."

"Great staff on reception - very friendly and helpful, especially since I was the only guest in the hotel during the low season. The room was at an excellent rate and was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. The reception staff got me a kettle when I asked and I slept well."

Construction works are going on in the area and at the hotel in winter. Theh hamman, spa and bar and restaurant are all closed in winter too - all understandable and no huge deal and there's plenty in the area open all the time.

Abends und morgens haben wir nichts davon gehört. Das Frühstück war vor Ort deutlich günstiger als online angeboten. Das Buffet war sehr reichhaltig und frisch - jedenfalls eine klare Empfehlung."

Nicht gefallen hat uns, dass auf der booking.com Seite nicht angegeben war, dass der Bus, wegen der aktuellen Straßenbauarbeiten dort nicht halten kann und umgeleitet wird. Die angegebene Haltestelle existiert derzeit nicht. Ist kein Mangel des Hotels, hat uns aber ziemlich geärgert.

"The apartment was clean, stylish, and comfortable with excellent facilities including a kitchen, microwave, fridge and freezer, widescreen TV with Sky, lovely big sliding door with great views over Gib, as well as access to a pool and gym, with a Costa coffee in the foyer. It’s in a great location near some very nice restaurants such as Rendezvous, The Lounge, Monique’s, and Cafe Pepe (fabulous fish!) and a short walk to a nice tapas wine bar, Main Street, Casemates Square and only 20 mins walk to the cable car. The added bonus is being next door to Morrisons- we don’t want to eat out all the time so it is very convenient to have bread, cheese, salad, and wine on the doorstep. All the staff are incredibly nice, with a special mention for Kristina who gave us a really amazing room! I’ve been here for work many times, this is the first holiday we’ve ever had here and I highly recommend staying at Atlantic Suites - for a perfect holiday apartment."

Das Personal im Restaurant könnte aufmerksamer und freundlicher sein; die Bestellung des Fruehstuecks klappt nicht immer sehr gut; Wenn die Lodge gut belegt ist, sind die Zimmer recht hellhörig und man hört sehr deutlich die Gäste über einem. ES ist sehr negativ aufgefallen, dass es in der Bar&Restaurant keinen Kaffee oder andere Getränke zwischen ca. 9.-11 Uhr gibt; ich musste mit Gesprächspartnern, die mich im Pili Pili besucht haben, in ein 1 km entferntes Cafe fahren.

"Everything! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and go out their way to never say no! Management was very accommodating and visible. The room looked much better than the pictures and was very clean. All the amenities necessary was provided in the room with a bonus plate of chocolates. The bed was comfortable! Overall, the Anne guest house was outstanding! There is honestly not enough space for me to write all the compliments I have for this guest house."

The tv in the room is small and the tv options are limited in the room but it is not something that makes me not want to come back. I will definitely return.

Frühstück war etwas übersichtlich in der Auswahl. Leider fingen Bauarbeiten direkt vor unserem Zimmer während unseres Aufenthaltes an. Wir mussten daher immer einen Umweg in Kauf nehmen.
