Boote in Lettland

"A different place to stay. A wood cabin but with all facilities such as fridge, single ring cooker, air conditioning, huge varanda with room for a dining table and chairs plus recliner chairs and a washing rack. Wonderful views of the Duero river. Pick up the train (one kilometre walk away) to Pinhao - 30 minute journey along the edge of the river-for food shopping and long, lazy lunches or to Porto for a day out. Rail fares in Portugal are very cheap and half price if over 65!"

A request: a reading light in the dining room/lounge area

"Clean, well looking hotel. Hot water, good rooms, beds and overall. Staff is always present, helpful and very hospitable! Location itself is good, especially if you need to reach the airport and the transport stations."

The only disadvantage is the big telecommunication tower just to the side of the hotel. I personally prefer not to be microwaved.

"Ausgezeichnete Lage und ideal als Alternative zum Hotel oder Apartment. Alles fußläufig erreichbar. Zahlreiche sehr gute Restaurants wenige Minuten entfernt."

Anfangs gab es ein Problem mit dem Generator; Strom war zwar vorhanden, so dass Licht und Kühlschränke funktionierten. Steckdosen und Toiletten waren aber außer Betrieb und es gab kein warmes Wasser. Dies wurde aber umgehend behoben.

"Beautiful Location with amazing views of the mountains... away from the maddening crowd and sounds which other boat houses have and hospitality by the friendly and knowledgeable host tariq.we also experienced BBQ in a shikara at the door step. Will definitely come back again here."

"Sehr netter Gastgeber. Sehr außergewöhnlich auf einem Boot zu schlafen."

Trotz der außergewöhnlichen und guten Erfahrung muss man ein paar Punkte nennen - für die der Gastgeber jedoch nichts kann. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, wird hier kaum zu schlaf kommen. Das boot schaukelt immer wieder ganz leicht, immer wieder "schlagen" wellen ans Boot oder etwas knarzt. Es ist alles sehr hellhörig und man hört nachts viele Geräusche. Auch wird es sehr warm im Schlafzimmer des Bootes.

"Die Lage ist der absoulute Hammer und es war definitiv eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeit war gelich um die Ecke und das rund um die uhr!"

Es gibt nichts zu Meckern!!

"Die Unterkunft ist einfach toll. Zudem sind die Vermieter (Ger und seine Familie) sehr freundlich und immer da wenn man sie braucht. Bis auf einen Fernseher ist alles an Bord was man so braucht. Es ist sehr sauber und wenn man sich an die Spülung der Toilette gewöhnt hat ist alles klar. Nur die Dusche ist etwas zu klein für breite Menschen. Aber das ist auf Hausbooten dem Platzangebot geschuldet. Wir waren zu viert und haben gut Platz gefunden. Leider haben wir den super Spielplatz, der nur zwei Minuten entfernt ist, erst am letzten Morgen entdeckt."

"Sehr kinderfreundlich und spannend. Es gibt einen Spielraum mit Airhockey, TT-Platte, Kickertisch und Dartscheibe. Frühstück bietet alles was man benötigt von herzhaft bis süß."

"Personal ist super freundlich, die Zimmer sehr sauber. Bar / Restaurant ist bis 23:00 Uhr geöffnet, Pizzen sind top. Etwas klein sind die Kajüten, ist aber auch irgendwie gemütlich. Frühstück ist guter Standard. Anbindung Linie 2 oder 17 Straßenbahn zur Innenstadt sind 400m entfernt."

Wasserkocher mit Tee/Kaffee in den Zimmern wäre gut. Getränkeauswahl Rezeption leicht erhöhen und ein paar Snacks angenehm. 😁

"Das 4-Bett-Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich eingerichtet, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Terrasse vor der Zimmertür ist in Richtung Fluss Mingė ausgerichtet und wird mit Licht durch die Morgensonne beflutet. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist einzigartig! Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis einfach Top!"

Das Bad des Zimmers ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber trotzdem absolut in Ordnung!

"The ship was a really special place to stay, the location was perfect and it had plenty of room for all of us. Such a unique experience and we'd definitely like to come back!"
