- would have been great if there were a kettle for guests' use. Needed some hot water to soothe my stomach and had to ask the staff to boil a cup for me.

"Leider habe ich vergessen nach dem Namen zu fragen, aber der , ich nenne ihn “Manager” der Jugendherberge ist genial. Sehr unkompliziert, hilfsbereit, immer gut gelaunt und er hat den Laden perfekt im Griff, was bei so unterschiedlichen Menschen mit verschiedenen “walks of life” schon bemerkenswert ist. Die Lage auf dem Hügel Ist gut, wenn auch die Centre Ville nicht gerade die einladendste Gegend ist und nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit eher spooky ist. Und der Preis ist für neukaledonische Verhältnisse sehr akzeptabel- die reichen Touristen wohnen sowieso in ihren Resorts woanders."

Sie haben eine süße kleine Hündin, die sich sehr über Spaziergänge am Strand freut - wir durften sie jeden Tag mitnehmen und sie ist sehr brav! Ansonsten ist sie leider den ganzen Tag an einer kurzen Leine angebunden. Also seid so lieb und nehmt sie mit :)

Klimaanlage müsste mal gereinigt werden. Küche tw etwas unsauber durch Mitbewohner, Angaben der Rezeption über Abflüge nicht akkurat, waren zu spät am Flughafen

Sehr rustikal, viele Moskitos im Zimmer, die ziemlich genervt haben, kein Ventilator, aber zum Schlafen gab es aber ein Moskitonetznetz! leider hat es immer wieder geregnet und da das Badezimmer draussen war, musste ich durch den Regen, am WC hat es auch geregnet, Kakalaken in der Dusche und dem WC

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."

"Doba and his family were exceptionally welcoming, outgoing, and fun. We spent three nights at chez doba, and went on two hikes each day, to different waterfalls, viewpoints, and villages. In the evening we played football with the children and drank beer and tea with the locals. Special shoutout to Amadou, our guide for our stay - a great guy! Highly highly highly recommend Campement Chez Doba to anyone visiting Senegal, its been the highlight of our trip. We also booked onto an extra trip with Doba to tour a nearby bedik village, which was very picturesque! Doba Tours also offers other tours around Senegal, including Dakar and Niocolo Koba National Park, which we didnt use, but heard good things from other guests. The food was good and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable!"

"Ziemlich alles, bis auf das Verhalten des Hospitaleros, eigentlich supernett, aber auf den Wunsch hin, einige meiner Kleidungsstücke NICHT in den Trockner zu stecken, wurden einfach ignoriert, dementsprechend hat mein guter Northface Pullover jetzt verkürzte Ärmel....Nach Aussage, es wird alles erstattet, falls etwas sein sollte, er morgens natürlich nicht aufzufinden war..... Dennoch ist die Albergue sehr zu empfehlen, vielleicht nur nicht unbedingt zum waschen ;)"

"I had a truly wonderful stay here. The front desk staff was incredibly nice, patient, and easy to talk to, he made the whole experience even better. The hotel has everything you would need, including a hair dryer. The bathroom and shower were especially great, very clean and comfortable. I was also really touched by the sign at the entrance of the bathroom clearly stating “Female Toilet, males not allowed.” It shows real respect for women and made me feel very safe. Little details like this genuinely warm your heart. I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has such a low rating on Booking. If the full score is 10, I would definitely give it a 10. Thank you again, I truly loved my stay here."

"Die Lage ist phantastisch. Vom Haus aus konnte man direkt auf den Hafen in der Mitte des Götakanals sehen (sogar zur Wilhelm Tham die dort mehrfach übernachtet hat.) Nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß am unteren Ende der Schleusentreppe ist ein wunderbarer Badestrand. Das Auto kann man direkt vor den Hütten abstellen, Die Ausstattung der Häuschen ist absolut ausreichend, der Herd mit nur zwei Kochplatten allerdings etwas knapp. Aber die Lage macht alles wett - in zwei Minuten ist man direkt an der Schleusentreppe, kann Schiffe beobachten und viele Kilometer mit dem Rad direkt am Kanal entlangradeln."

Küche ist doch ziemlich klein, wenig Stauraum im Häuschen. (gar kein Schrank oder Garderobe, nur Kommode mit Schubladen,)

"Tolle Preis-/Leistung und super fußläufige Lage zum Nationalpark. Das Auto haben wir gar nicht benutzt und konnten es auf dem abgeschlossenen Gelände stehen lassen. Zimmer ist zwar ziemlich klein aber war kein Problem. Moskitonetze am Fenster zum Glück vorhanden. Den Pool haben wir auch abends gerne genutzt."

"4 Personen Zimmer, sehr sauber. Großzügige, saubere Waschräume. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet (nicht im Preis enthalten). Ruhige Lage, quasi im Zentrum. Altstadt nicht weit. Zum Strand ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß. In der Longe kann man gut chillen. Auch Außenbeleuchtung sehr nett. Komplett. Küche zur Benutzung."

Man weiß was man zu erwarten hat. Deshalb nichts negatives

Es ist leider sehr hellhörig, man kann dennoch gut schlafen.

"Kelly and his family are amazing hosts. We feel in family! :-) Kelly is so helpful and talkative, always able to give suggestions and help finding activities to do, contacts, etc. His son, Junior, went with us to many places and activities and we fell him like a younger brother! :-) All the family made us feel welcome and at "home far from home". Installations are simple, but in a nice location, in the countryside, quite and friendly place, not far from Goroka center/easy bus connections but we have everything we needed, even to cook our meals. If you want a simple and family place to stay, with someone who will help you around, this is the place! If once I go back PNG and Goroka, I'll stay here again! :-) Thanks Kelly, Junior and family! Hope to see you again!"

It's normal to have light and water cuts. But it's common in the region/general problem and not from the place.
